Series Thread: Rangers Host the Dodgers For Three Games April 18-20

After a great start to the homestand the Rangers face their biggest challenge of the season. The Deferrals, or rather the Dodgers, are supposed to be the best team money can buy.

Let's see how we stack up against them, or how they stack up against us.

We need to have a great start from deGrom tonight. Maybe he can give us the following:

7 innings
1 run
4 hits
2 walks
9 strikeouts

I don't think they will send Duran down unless Smith is fully healthy. Even if Smith is healthy, they have always kept 2 MIF on the bench. Smith plays elsewhere so much that they le having another backup for 2B and SS. Pederson needs a hangnail or something so they can hide him on the DL.

Josh Smith is still out. We can only assume this is another occasion when the Rangers medical staff can not figure out what is wrong. It must be a lot worse than they diagnosed to begin with.

I still wonder if it is going to be a hamate bone problem and they will have to operate on him. I believe that would mean he would miss 7 or 8 weeks, or more.
