Can we call you a moron for "not saying HE", but then continually using he, his and him?I've spent a great deal of time thinking about God and what it's done. (notice I didn't say "HE")
God always was and always will be. God is a massive energy force that pulled itself together at a single point.
God has shown himself once and talked to three humans that we know of. Moses. Noah, Jesus. God has only shown himself as a burning bush.
The description of heavens is a human description, not God's. He explained that he created everything that we know of in seven days. God's days, not ours.
This is my understanding, not any religion or religious person's.
God is part of all of us and we are part of God. Our inner energy is a gift of God and will be returned to him.
Our mind is our soul. It is where we decide what is right or wrong and what we will do. It is the only place where we can love or hate/ It s the only place where we can believe in God or Deny God. It is also the only place where we can be truly sorry for anything we've done against another.
Heaven..............where our soul or mind goes after our death. Jesus Christ said that God has promised to reunite us body and soul after the final days of life on earth. No one has the slightest concept of what that means. Would every baby that died be brought back as an infant? What about people that were born and have lived a life as a mentally disturbed or challenged life? There are questions that cannot be answered.
Finally......HELL. Will God be gracious and forgive all of the souls that were condemned to hell? Will God forgive Lucifer and bring him back to heaven as his favorite angel that he supposedly was when he led a rebellion against God? Or will he do as I believe? He will turn all of them into nothing as if they they never existed and their memory will be dismissed.
I made a deal with God in 1971. I promised that I would never kill another of his living creatures if he would allow me to sleep. I had spent the previous year killing every enemy man, woman, child, and animal I encountered without a single second of remorse. I was afraid to go to sleep because I knew that there were people out there who were looking to end me. I slept for fourteen hours as peacefully as a baby. I stopped being a helo crewman and to this day, immediately ask forgiveness if I kill a mosquito.
Do whatever immature thing you want to do that makes you feel better. Can we call you a moron for "not saying HE", but then continually using he, his and him?
Alts are one of the no-nos on SportsHoopla. No, you would have laughed off the benign shit.
Yes Please let's move past itAlts are one of the no-nos on SportsHoopla.
I would / did not laught it off. I had no idea who it was but it would not have mattered.
You tried, you failed, it's over. You are forgiven and it will soon be forgotten.
Welcome back.
What's a "check?"Special Election Day in Florida. 2 House seats are up for grabs. Rare April Fools Day Election.
Yes, I'm going to vote and then go have my 2024 taxes done.
Praying for a return and not having to write a check.
No, rats don't get forgiven. Alts used responsibly are not evil. Against the fine print terms, okay. A certain person here has physically threatened members, and that's far worse.Alts are one of the no-nos on SportsHoopla.

Piece of paper that I didn't use today. They cancelled services so the building could be used for a voting poll. What's a "check?"
I called him out personally for that and I have not seen such egregious examples since. No, rats don't get forgiven. Alts used responsibly are not evil. Against the fine print terms, okay. A certain person here has physically threatened members, and that's far worse.
I'm not perfect. We all have bad moments. But being a rat is on a different level. Sometimes we over do our confrontations with each other, but we face each other while we do it. We don't ask someone to fight our battles, especially given the harmlessness of my offense.I called him out personally for that and I have not seen such egregious examples since.
You have not been perfect either.
Both of you aregood posters and I for one, appreciate that.
Forgiveness is a very good trait that can be hard to master.
I'm done with this discussion. Time to move on.
Oh, what could have been...
" God created the heavens and the earth"
I find this curious and have a personal point of view. Heven is pluralized and earth is singular, is this because humans are not the only species God created? A lot of people believe there is extra terrestrial life wouldn't it make sense that they may have some form of heaven perhaps different than how we might see heaven.
Or am I reading way to much into this?
Thanks. Are you ready for a 1000 year flood event @Yankee Traveler ? Its coming your way. I hope you are on high ground.....
Just curious, do you pronounce the E's or say crick. We pronounce them as "brook" here.Thanks.
High ish.
I have one spot in my yard that ponds up a bit but it is no where near the house. My last house was closer to a creek and I would have been much more concerned.
Hmm...In my mind a brook is smaller than a creek, which is smaller than a river.Just curious, do you pronounce the E's or say crick. We pronounce them as "brook" here.
An unknown and never discussed thing is that the first slaves sent to the colonies were not African. They were Scots. In 1650 Oliver Cromwell defeat the Scottish at the battle of Dunbar. He marched the losers naked in winter 100 miles and sold them to Ships' Captains for as much as L30 each. One hundred and fifty of them were on a ship called the Unity that sailed to Boston and only 72 made it. The healthiest were sold to the Saugus Iron Works and the rest were sold to the Berwick Lumber Yard.As in "If the good lords willing and the Creek don't rise".
Which refers to the Indian tribe rebelling, not flood waters.
Another bit of useless trivia...Cajuns.An unknown and never discussed thing is that the first slaves sent to the colonies were not African. They were Scots. Most were given their freedom after seven years by the King of England and with it fifty acres of land at what was the frontier at the time. For the men at the Iron Works that was Way out in what today is Peabody, MA. Those men and their families were given the responsibility of fight the native tribes if they desired to start heading to Boston.
Hence the saying, "Good Lord willing and the Creek don't rise up." Somewhere the "up" got lopped off.
