East Reserves: Jaylen Brown, Pascal Siakam, Darius Garland, Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Damian Lillard, Tyler Herro.

No Trae, Jalen Johnson, Bam, Lamelo, Maxey

West Reserves: Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Jalen Williams, James Harden, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Alperen Sengun.

No Sabonis, Fox, Booker, Kyrie, Jalen Green, Norm Powell

Just a brutal year picking reserves. So tough with a lot of worthy guys left off. Happy for Herro, Mobley, Jalen Williams as they are really deserving but thought they may get left off. If I had to make changes, I'd leave Garland off and put in Trae. And then I'd leave JJJ off and put in Sabonis but I figure they needed to have a Memphis player on the team and Ja has missed too many games
Trae over Garland? a guy who is an incredibly inefficient shooter on a middling team over an efficient shooter for the team with the best record in the league? Agree think Sabonis should have made it somehow...and maybe still will.

Garland has been the best player on the Cavs this year. That can be argued but watching the games, he has been the most consistent. Basically 50, 40, 90. Trae is barely shooting 40% from the field.
watching last night still one of the best at falling like a toddler when he is grazed. Saw he also developed a hit the defender in the face move and draw a foul.

Yeah Sabonis is tough. I think in close debates they will reward Sengun over Sabonis bc of team success. Both are deserving.

Herro and Garland both much better than Trae.

Crazy thing is Trae is playing 6 more minutes a game than Garland and avg the same points. Garland getting 7 apg is extremely impressive in 30 mpg and Mitchell and Mobley both handle the ball too. Trae leading the league in TO’s too

Per 36 numbers for Garland and Herro make it an easy choice. Both way more efficient

Other than the assists, Trae is having the type of season Sexton's critics used to say he had here. Takes a lot of shots, inefficient, holds the ball a lot....only these things are true of Trae this season.

Take your own advice. Benching Jokic for that long with 2 fouls is the direct opposite of common sense.
Fire Malone , hire Shopson

Maybe he had a bet on the game, y’all saw the shit KC did with the safety, would anyone be surprised?

The all star rosters mirror the daily pro roster size. 12 is plenty. The game is an afterthought, players just want that recognition (and salary bonuses that potentially exist) along with the several days off.
12 is not 'plenty' with 15 teams

Hardly the first time fans vote in over the hill legends. But yes Curry is having his worst season. He finally got old.

Didn't they do something a few years back where they voted in a "legend" that was far past his prime but they got to honor him as an all-star one last time?

I think they did it with Kobe and Dirk, no?

Sounds familiar, probably. I think baseball did something like that with Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols their final year in baseball, when neither had the stats to get there without the special honor.

NBA has far too few all stars. Each league has 15 teams and only 12 spots. In MLB it’s 15 teams and 26 spots. In the NFL it’s 16 teams and dozens of spots.

The game itself literally means nothing, no one actually plays. Need to have 15 NbA all stars. You’d still have snubs with the 16th guy but now you’re getting towards lesser players.

If each team had 3 more I’d add Trae, Maxey, and Lamelo in the East, Sabonis, Kyrie, and Green (or maybe Powell) in the west. Now there’s hardly any legit “snubs”

Been saying for a while now I'd like to see 15 all stars instead of 12. After all there's a 1st, 2nd and 3rd all NBA teams.
