East Reserves: Jaylen Brown, Pascal Siakam, Darius Garland, Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Damian Lillard, Tyler Herro.

No Trae, Jalen Johnson, Bam, Lamelo, Maxey

West Reserves: Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Jalen Williams, James Harden, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Alperen Sengun.

No Sabonis, Fox, Booker, Kyrie, Jalen Green, Norm Powell

Just a brutal year picking reserves. So tough with a lot of worthy guys left off. Happy for Herro, Mobley, Jalen Williams as they are really deserving but thought they may get left off. If I had to make changes, I'd leave Garland off and put in Trae. And then I'd leave JJJ off and put in Sabonis but I figure they needed to have a Memphis player on the team and Ja has missed too many games
NBA has far too few all stars. Each league has 15 teams and only 12 spots. In MLB it’s 15 teams and 26 spots. In the NFL it’s 16 teams and dozens of spots.

The game itself literally means nothing, no one actually plays. Need to have 15 NbA all stars. You’d still have snubs with the 16th guy but now you’re getting towards lesser players.

If each team had 3 more I’d add Trae, Maxey, and Lamelo in the East, Sabonis, Kyrie, and Green (or maybe Powell) in the west. Now there’s hardly any legit “snubs”

Like I said, really tough. With the Cavs already having two guys, I'd leave him off. Trae is leading the league in assists.
I can’t reward a guy for leading the league in one category. garland has been better at everything else. Trae also gets a ton of calls. His shooting numbers are pretty bad.

I am actually surprised bc they usually overthink these selections and go on popularity

Leaving Sabonis off is criminal.

I don’t care how of the reserves loses their spot aside from Wemby.

Sabonis needs to be on the team

Yep dead on. Dumb thing is nightly teams are required to have 13 guys active but all star roster is only 12? lol 15 is the correct number since that is the size of a regular roster excluding 2 way contracts

Terry Rozier being investigated for betting on games.
The league was alerted to suspicious betting surrounding Rozier in March 2023. Rozier, then a member of the Charlotte Hornets, was playing the New Orleans Pelicans, NBA spokesman Mike Bass confirmed in a statement.

Alarms were raised after an unusually high number of wagers were placed on Rozier to go under statistical benchmarks, multiple sources told the Journal. The firm tasked with monitoring gambling activity, U.S. Integrity, alerted the NBA and sportsbooks.

Rozier, whose career earnings exceed $100 million, left with a sore right foot after having scored only five points, according to the NBA game highlights.
Rozier missed the rest of the season which was 8 more games after he left that game. I don't understand the connection. If true it makes it seem like he hurt himself intentionally. You can't fake an injury and miss that much time, can you, even if they're meaningless end of season games?

Or I guess, maybe he was playing through a nagging injury and figured he could get himself shut down.

Ahhh he got 2 early foul calls , how’s that on coach?

Ever think the coach might of thought he was doggin it and sent him, the team a message?

Sure, he was dogging it lol. That's seriously your read? Do you pay attention to teams other than the Knicks? He's been on a HUGE roll.

I don’t know about that.

Every coach has strengths and weaknesses.

Being over conservative with early foul trouble is an old school idea. But it does nothing but limit the ability for your star to impact the game.

Because more often than not, your guy can get through his normal minutes without picking up the 3-4 more fouls required to foul out.

So why limit your stud so early in the game?

Sitting him that long that early is RFK brain worm category.

There will be replacements needed. I doubt AD is going to play for example, will probably miss through the break with his ab strain. Sabots is a likely replacement IMO.
