I finally do agree with everyone about this organization I don't put the blame on JD you can only do so much with a small budget. I wish billionaires who buy sports franchises would also be fans of the sport and not just businessmen. It is also frustrating watching the Dodgers just buy up all the players and win games.

From 2019 and it still holds true today

owners have made it very clear they think the m's fanbase is really stupid.

and the thing that's really sad about it is that it's kinda true.

what would've happened in LA, NY, or Boston if their GM had made that sarcastic 54% comment, talking down to fans in the most pedantic way imaginable while not acknowledging utter failure? definitely a contract extension like our owners gave Jerry almost immediately, amirite?

owners and front offices only pull this kind of shit year in and year out for literally decades if they know fans will continue to consume their product. until last year, i was as guilty as anybody.

i see more fans on social media doing rage tweets than usual, but not that much. all it'll take is a DANEDGAR push here or a Julio's new approach push there and the excitement of pitchers and catchers reporting in less than a month, and it'll hook enough of the fanbase to get onboard with the lies and deceit yet again. m's will turn record profit and the team will be nowhere.

there is no present or future, only the past happening over and over again-now.

sorry to quote o'neill on a sports forum, but it's appropriate.

There isn’t really a lot though us fans can do directly. The most we can do is if fans boycott the corporations that advertise with the Mariners or if we work at one of small businesses that have season tickets we can talk our bosses into not renewing them.

Agree 100% though on people will get on board by spring training. I know im guilty of when I hear the cleats or the popping of the glove I always feel like it’s our year and somehow I always fall for the spring darling.

not going to games and not paying for any service that carries root. that's a lot of impact fans can make. , but until that happens, nothing will ever change.

as i said, it's all just talk. the bitching is comical at this point because it's so utterly toothless. i'll bet owners and jerry get a good laugh out of it all.

the learned helplessness is a metaphor for this entire franchise.

So it’s official they are out of the Roki sweepstakes
We were never in it. We never got an interview. The only question that remains is did we even ask for an interview?

6-OF Yorger Bautista (Venezuela) Seattle Mariners ($2,100,000)
DOB: 9/19/2007 (17) / H: 6-2 / W: 178 / B: L/ T: L

Bautista is considered to have one of the most legitimate chances in the entire international class of becoming a true five-tool player. His hitting ability is limitless. He could be a hitter with many extra-base hits and has the potential to play center field effectively. The Venezuelan-born player from Puerto La Cruz impressed scouts during tryouts with incredible speed and athleticism, resembling a version of Ender Inciarte with more hitting and power, and greater potential to sustain his career. Seattle is developing players the right way with a focus on physical changes, and Bautista is set to be their next gem.

The thing is look at baseball.
History..
Last time pirates were.good.
Mcutchin..
Was young..know he's old...
And they are almost back..
And rebuilt..

Jedi had to start from scratch...
After Felix got hurt..
There was nothing..in the
.minors..
Or at mlb...

So they sold the team .and for.the.1st.
Time.in.frachise.history..re-built.
They are barely right before.
The offence.
Gets there
.but they went to the playoffs ..that.
Screwed.them cuz offence was.
Nowhere.close..
In the minors..but they had.just.enough.
At.mlb.

It was an anomaly....the media took it like .ok then..let's win .
??? But with what..

Not paying to go to games sure, but that won’t change anything. It’s kind of silly to cut off your cable company because of the baseball team. Plus that won’t affect the owners cause they can use all sorts of excuses.

I get your point but bitching is really all fans have cause we don’t have the ability to change anything. Seattle and King County residents have a lot more to worry about than forcing their politicians to put pressure on the team.
