After watching last night's Canucks - Capitals game, Logan Thompson not being selected to the Canadian roster is a pretty big miss.

Two of the top five point leaders are not in it because one is from Germany and one is from Russia. There's no excitement around this event at all because people know it's just a money grab.

I don't see it as only a money grab.

It is also an anxiety inducing opportunity for my team's best player to hurt himself in a meaningless game.


All I can say is thank goodness Russia can't play.
