I don’t hate the Commanders name but I like the Redskins better and I like their iconic logo.

I never stopped calling them the redskins. I’m sure a lot of people didn’t. That’s probably why they are changing back. Us assholes wouldn’t let the culture change us for such stupid reasons. Congrats to the Blackfeet Nation, they will soon have their classic and timeless image restored to one of the most historic nfl franchises.

The current name and logo is bland. By all means change it for something better, but reverting back to the original problem name would be dumb. Regardless of who the name was or wasn't an issue for, it has been an issue going back at least as far as when I started watching in 1983/4. Regardless of whether it should or shouldn't have been changed, it was changed. Changing the name back now would be dumb. It would be like rescinding an apology for historical wrong-doing. Pick another identity for the franchise and move on.
