Yeah, that Thomas Brown inclusion would make him the first bear coach in 53 years since I think it said Abe Gibron to be hired from within. They talk of him coming from the McVey coaching tree, which I think is a sell point, but not really the same since he is not coming directly from the Rams. He went thru Carolina and here. Makes you think he will be on his way out if he does not get the job since he was also overlooked in Carolina and left.

I love how they say the locker room really has a different vibe with him at this spot, and they would think the entire team would also raise their level with him as head coach.

Just dont think he is a flashy enough name for the bears to try to get a good one post Lovie Smith.

If Ben Johnson is the top target for a head coaching gig, saw another article that suggests Jerry Jones pulls up with an armored car to land him in Dallas. The timing is there. McCarthy's contract expires this season and you know Jerry has deeper pockets than the McCaskeys.

yeah, but part if this is Ben Johnson wanted the Chicago job when he expected it was coming available. He removed himself from other interviews after Chicago did not call. Its all free money. Anyone is getting a 5 year deal who might work 2 or 3 of those years and still get paid for 5, unless he turns out like Campbell in Detroit and changing the entire tone of the organization.

I am not 100% on Johnsons coaching ability, his rise to head coach, I dont even know if he is the same fired up leader that Detroit has, but at least he has seen what it takes to change the tone of an organization.

It was funny how Olin talks about having ex nfl players running things, like Spielman and Campbell in Detroit. How successful John Lynch was his first year as GM, but pretty much excludes Poles from being a player. Olin actually said he does not want to toot his own horn, which made it sound like he would say yes to being a coach on the bears staff.

Who wants it? Fencik, Plank, Urlacher, Singletary? Kreutz???

This team has reinvented LOSING. Going back to last year, the stats on 4th quarter collapses based SOLELY on coaching are fucking LEGENDARY. When I say coaching, I mean absolutely ZERO of those losses were based on untimely turnovers or player fuckups. They have lost those games DESPITE heroic efforts by the players. We have lost 4 games this year in unprecedented fashion. We lost 4 games last year, where we had a 90% chance or better to win the game. This is stuff unheard of.

Eberflus will go down as the worst coach we've ever had.
