I wonder what the record is for games under 500 shooting for the Jazz. Obviously, George is not there yet and may never be, but I’m getting tired of his box score shooting. I don’t see the games to know what shots he’s taking, but he’s been bad in college and has not improved from his rookie year. It’s only been four games and there was a stretch last year that I pointed out that he shot well. I think I’m just desperate to have a Donovan Mitchell. Too bad we didn’t have a player like him on our team before. Maybe we can be bad enough so we can draft a Donovan Mitchell. Why does Utah never get any players that are as good as Donovan Mitchell? And while we’re at it since we had the worst defense last year and have not been very good this year, I wonder if we would ever be able to get a Rudy Gobert? Imagine those two are playing together on our team?

And instead, the Jazz have a player in Markkanen that gets hurt all the time. He got hurt in Chicago and Cleveland, which is one of the reasons they didn't stick with him.

Meanwhile, Gobert and Mitchell were pretty healthy in their Jazz careers.

His shot selection was a little better. He needs to average 13 FGAs or less.

He was shooting too much in other games.

Overall, I'm ready to start Dunn, until George shows some improvement in shooting.

Between Rubio and George, why do the Jazz always get players that can't shoot? Why can't they have Mike Conley Jr.?

I know that I am harping on this probably too much, but I looked at the box score of the San Antonio Spurs game and George is shooting 3-9 and by instinct I thought, “wow, he’s shooting better.“ That is sad.

He is zero for six for three pointers. So that means he’s three for three on two point shots. I have not looked at the shot selection, but on the radio they said that he had zero driving points in the first four games. Of course, he may have been fouled going to the rim and that doesn’t count as a shot. So I don’t know that he’s not driving, just that he’s not producing made layups. So maybe this game he is?

He needs to figure out better efficiency. Otherwise, the Jazz might either replace him with Sexton, or make a trade for another PG.

That thread is meant for the times when we expect better, and they disappoint.

If they are without their best scorer, then they're supposed to look this bad, unfortunately. Doesn't mean some people can't play better, but the overall talent still isn't there.

So it's possible that without their best scorer, they could have tried to win a game with great defense.

But I think we know this team is going to be a bottom defensive team, so they aren't going to win very many games with defense in a season.

The Jazz were 30th last year. They really are the Worst Team In Sports.

They were 2nd in 2018 - 2019, and 4th in 2020-2021.

I also think Mitchell is a better defender for Cleveland than he ever was for Utah. Which is annoying, because he should have been playing like that for Utah.

They are 22nd this year in defense and also they are eighth in first chance defense. I’m using the wrong term, but what they mean by that is that they prevent points better on the first shot. They’re not very good at defensive rebounding so that’s why they dropped a 22nd.

Speaking of Dunn, he is coincidentally starting now for the Clippers!

In terms of recently drafted players, Keyonte George, Scoot Henderson are very close to looking like they'll never get "it".

OK, his worst 10 game streak he shot 29.84%. He’s only played nine games this year and his worst 9 game streak was 27.68% drumroll, this year he is shooting 32.31%.

So the good news is to avoid shooting his worst 10 game streak, he must not miss his first 11 shots this game tonight. Unfortunately, if he shoots, 1 out of 15, he’ll have his worst.

If he makes his average of five shots, he just needs to shoot better than 5/29. come on, George, I have faith in you! Make your five shots in fewer than 29 attempts.
