I thought they were illegal in Canada?I have one for each German. Can’t imagine driving without one.
I thought they were illegal in Canada?
I got lucky in Virginia one night where they are illegal.Maybe Texaberta? When I went there, I unplugged it completely. I’ve heard stories where they sit on the highway at night and give you a shot with their unit and if you slow down, they pull you over and look for it.

As you said, cop shot me with radar and I let right off the gas. I did not hit the brake so the brake lights wouldn't light up. Sure enough blue lights came on. I yanked it off the windshield and stuffed it in my back pack. The cop came up and first thing he asked if I had a radar detector. I said no and he said he was going to have to search my car because I slowed down as soon as he turned his radar on. Right at that time my CB started making noise and I said that's because talk on the CB was to look out for him and I heard it just a couple seconds before his lights came on.
It wasn't true, I hadn't heard anybody on the CB for a while it was just super lucky timing.
He believed me and let me go even though he got me for 70 in a 55.
Yeah, Tennessee is cool too.Tricksy coppers…
I don’t even take mine off the dash or windshield if I’m pulled over by them here.
