I see him as a bit of a modern day Magic Johnson when it comes to defense. Magic was a better defender than he got credit for, partially because his offensive skills were so elite.

He wasn't locking anybody up 1 on 1. But he was good at team and help defense.

But, Westbrook is the only guy I remember winning it without being a top 4 seed and that was because of the historical significance.

The nostalgia has worn off a bit with triple doubles.

So, even with comparable numbers, Luka won’t win.

Just wondering which one of NJ's MVP's should JE have won?

I remember for his first MVP the talking heads said it came down to games played. Jokic played 72 and Embiid played 51. For his second MVP Jokic shot .583 from the field, Embiid .499. Also he averaged 7.9 asts while Joel averaged 4.2.

And obviously Embiid's the far better defender. But Jokic has far better court vision.
