pre combine interviews? I know they sit in on private interviews when prospects come to the teams. Harris has no football experience.

It illogical b/c if we don't go QB at #2 you would take a trade down and draft Bowers if you really love him. Why take him at #2 when you can take a trade down with Atl for example and take him at #8 overall. It’s more than a stretch taking a TE at #2 overall. Yes this is my opinion.

Harris has no football experience? I thought he was part owner of the Steelers.

Because you believe Bowers will be there at 8. If a team believes Bowers is a game changer, he could go higher than 8.

IMO the owner should not be involved in the day-to-day football operations. I meant football experience of evaluating players like Peters has. He has never had final say on football players The point is you don't take a TE at #2 when you have a good trade down offer or the highest rated non QB player is MHJ.

Hell if you were around during the 80s you know Joe went to talk to Jack Kent Cooke or vice versa many times. Jack let Joe and Bobby make the football decisions but he wasn't sitting in an office with blinders on.

You have no idea if Harris is evaluating players. Let’s say Caleb Williams is a head case like we believe. Shouldn’t the owner be able to tell his people that guy is not welcome on the team regardless of talent@?

Do we have a good trade down offer? You also may want to look at he ratings. MHJ is only slightly rated higher; however, next gen stats shows Bowers as Elite.

If i had billions invested i'd want to sit in on interviews. The biggest thing is the players talking to reporters at the combine. none of them mentioned harris at all. i'm giving harris the benefit of the doubt. from my opinion it looks like the peters show so far. look at the cuts. Ron and Marty Hurney would've not cut gates, thomas, and leno. Whittling the deadwood makes sense. I feel bad for leno because from all accounts he's a good dude and well liked in the locker room. Peters is not operating on sentimentality. so refreshing.

To be fair I think some fans are tainted by 24 years of Snyder. All you have to do is look back at Harris's other teams and the things he said since he has been here. He has kept his word so far , Peter's with Quinn's input will make the pick. It is supposed to be collaborative. DQ says what kind of player he wants and Adam makes the picks. Not ONE guy mentioned Harris that interviewed.

Dad never said he won’t have a say. He is the boss. If he wants a say, he has a say. Nope…meddling is putting in your two cents and people understanding you will get your way. It is not meddling to say I don’t want this guy as an employee.
