It's only been 2 games, but Spencer Dinwiddie has looked pretty good so far.

Hell of a night by Rui. Didn't see that coming...

That win over the Celtics with Lebron and AD out seems to have really "jump started" the role players. They've been deferring less and have really been playing well since that game.

Well, there's more minutes to go around with so many out injured. With Lebron out, there's not really anyone to defer to...

That and Lebrons hourglass stuff I think. I think those 2 events coincide.

True. But even with him and AD in, they've deferred less. Earlier in the season it was almost like they were looking to Lebron or AD for permission to shoot with the way some of them would hesitate. Ever since that game, if they have a shot, they just take it.

Yeah, that could be part of it too. May have lit a bit of a fire under them as they do seem to be playing with more urgency.

Whatever the reason, they're looking more like the team they were after the deadline/all star break last year.

Hach will follow up last night's game with 4 points and 3 rebounds in 36 minutes in the next one.

Celtics gotta start playing better. A 50 point win over the Nets just isn't acceptable.

It probably helps that the Lakers hit a soft part of the schedule, too... really only one good win since then (over New Orleans)...

... (keeping in mind that the NYK were injured to heck in the latest matchup vs the Lakers)

You realize the Lakers have had plenty of injuries themselves, right?

Sure... I'm not denying that.

Just sayin'... hard to judge if this is some meaningful renaissance in the grand scheme of things when the opponents have been soft.

Not really. They're 2-1 vs. the Thunder, 2-1 vs. the Clippers, 3-0 vs. the Suns and 2-1 vs. the Pels.

They've actually almost struggled more vs the teams they're "supposed to beat".

I hate defending the Lakers. But I heard last week during a game they have the 5th most player games missed due to injury.

Excuse me, gonna go puke now.
