He woulod make my day for sure at 12 other wise try and mine a extra draft pick ..I would be good with taking Bowers at 12.

I seen that our mister Irrelevant played dang good in the Canadian League won 16 2 losses lost in the grey cup ...anyone game in bring him back ? part of me says yes ....I am not sure? He sure has a cannon
I bet Rams fans love him. he is amazing . wish we could get him were will he be drafted?Jump on my Trey Benson bandwagon with me.
I get what you are saying about Kelly . but I would give him one more chance what would it hurt ? My guess is no way in heck..I think someone will give him a shot. Not sure it will be Denver.
Good points DCI also think with the amount of good WR's early in this draft WR is a very strong possibility for us at where we sit. It is a position people aren't talking a lot about the Broncos as a Rd 1 possibility. I think we move one of our WR's (most likely try to move Jeudy) and upgrade with the quality of the top draft at WR this year.
Brian Thomas of LSU
Keon Coleman of Florida State or Odunze if he possibly slides to us at 12. The need/value is there.
Sutton
Mims
Odunze/Thomas/Coleman
Would be a great combination., bu
Right now if we don't go QB in Rd 1 my best bet is WR. The value is going to be there for us.
As you all know I love Xavier Worthy and Troy Franklin also but doubt that is the kind of WR we go with already having Mims.
Odunze, Coleman, B. Thomas would match what we need.
I'd say its about 50/50 with Bowers being there at 12. In some regards I think he is obviously a blue chip prospect...but...maybe being an undersized TE drops him into a Gerald Everett role for some teams. Imo the combine matters more for Bowers than probably any other player in rd1 which is a bit crazy considering how good his college career was. Its hard to imagine any undersized player going top 10 outside of QB. 12-15 is probably closer to his range imo if he comes in light. For the record. I will be VERY surprised if Bowers is there for us to even consider at 12.
Here would be my WAY early top 10 mock
1. Bears- Caleb Williams, QB, USC
2. Commanders- Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
3. Patriots- Drake Maye, QB, UNC
4. Cardinals- Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State
5. Chargers- Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
6. Giants- Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
7. Titans- Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State
8. Falcons- Dallas Turner, OLB, Alabama
9. Bears- Rome Odunze, WR, Washingtonn
10. Jets- Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
You could really probably swap Daniels/Maye and Alt/Olu if you wanted to.
I personally like Maye.. Like REALLY like Maye but I think after the year Daniels had and while Maye can also run I think with Daniels ability to REALLY run the Commanders end up falling in love with him and the hype after college.
I think the question remains as to whether or not the Chargers stay at 5. I personally think they have a decent incentive to trade down. They have many important positions that could be upgraded if they cut older players. If there is a 4th QB that teams really like, this is where that QB would go, I'd imagine. If the Chargers drop down to pick 8 or 9 then Bowers is probably still on the board and maybe they take him there.VERY surprised was probably not the best use of my feelings. I probably should have said "surprised"
I will give Bowers a 39% chance to be there for us at the moment. Of course ask me again in 2 months. I know his position isn't exactly a position that typically goes high in the draft but I think of Pitts, Hockenson etc.. (not that Pitts has turned out so far due to injury and no QB but just saying elite TE's will go high.) Bowers has the ability to stretch the field as well as any. Of course there is TE U (Iowa) which has 3 of the top 4 TE's in the game with success in the NFL.
Agree on the combine mattering for him as much as anyone. I am debating right now if he is worthy of the Chargers pick #5 or if he falls more into that 8-12 range.
Of course his ankle has to check out as well but he was able to come back from it at the end of the year.
If we were to pick up a second rounder from 12, it'd be a team at the bottom of rd 2 and a larger drop than we could afford to get a QBWould love to find a way to move down, pick up a 2nd rounder and still get the player of their choice in the first round. I still hope it's a QB but I wouldn't be too disappointed with a stud defensive player or a replacement receiver for Jeudy.

I think if the Chargers stay at 5, its because they really like a WR or Edge Rusher (and Im not sure I see an Edge going that high. Who would be the next team taking Bowers?
