Find where I've said this is a great team. Darvin Ham has been trash all year and really his entire tenure. His game plans are terrible on both sides of the ball. His game management is atrocious. The Lakers win games because Lebron and AD have to play their asses off. Like All NBA 1st team level. If they can't do that on a given night, they lose.

His subbing patterns and especially his different lineup changes are just a sign of desperation and he is in over his head.

I have only seen about 4-5 games of the Knicks this season but they are a team that could make the ECF if other teams don't pay attention.

That is a team that Thibs has built in his image. OG was a great pickup and they may not be done yet before the trade deadline.

The Lakers need to fire Ham and promote Phil Handy. He is a respected assistant around the League and has been with the Lakers since 2019 (also coached with them from 2011-2013). He would be a good replacement IMO.

And Rob needs to get busy on the damn phone.

I respect your opinion.

The Knicks will be dogs vs the Bucks, Celtics or Sixers but they play defense. And the game becomes more of a halfcourt game in the postseason.

Not saying they make the Finals but they would be my sleeper pick to make the ECF. Sleeper pick being a team outside of the trio I already mentioned of course.

Especially, if they make another deal before the deadline.

for comparison the lineup of Lebron AD D Lo and Prince only outscore opponents of 2.6 per 100.

So we are nearly half a season into this year and Monty has been unable to figure out how to build a lineup combinations around those 4 (granted health is a major issue) to win games.

That is astonishingly bad coaching and subbing patterns.

I say that to say the gripe about Ham is founded for the same reasons.

It’s just the grind of the schedule, not always the coach. OKC played a game against the Lakers like the Lakers played against the Nets, very lazy on both ends. Fortunately the Thunder don’t have many of those.

I guess he is trying to figure out how to get guys to play more consistently. Just saying when you have a record like the Lakers do that means it’s not necessarily in your control every night, sometimes the other team gives you one and sometimes you give one away. If Im a Laker fan I’m questioning the roster more than anything. How in the hell can a guy like Reaves be untouchable when he appears to have already hit a ceiling? If they could get a Terry Rozier by dealing him they should do it and quick before the team changes their mind,

Changing the starting lineups as often as he does and the subbing patterns are a sign of a desperate coach and somebody in desperation mode. Players are sounding off and it's just a matter of time until he loses the locker room......
