The irony with this Kansas City team is something else. Now that their offense isnt super-duper scary anymore, their defense actually IS a top-shelf unit
In my mind I kinda credit their awesome defense with being the reason they don’t score much in the second half. Cuz they don’t need to.

But then I remember, they have about the worst receiving corps in the league.

Idk, Watson is the guy who barely made the team and was supposed to be WR6 or 7. Being mad at him is a pretty useless exercise. Just be happy he plays as an acceptable clearout WR3 for cheap that also is on ST's.

Toney, MVS, Moore, Hardman all being absolute bums are a bigger issue. Rice is a rookie.
and i like him alot. Try using some Rushing places with him.

Thank God tgere was no nil money for toney in colllege...or wouldn't even have that reputation to live off of. Guy went to shit when he cashed his first check.

Meh, can lineup Toney in the backfield for the gimmicky stuff like that. Maybe if they had more depth they could do that. But Rice kinda has to be out there when he has his package as nobody else really dictates much of anything outside of Kelce, who is basically floating.

The Eagles are establishing a pretty good plan to win games, it must be said.

Oy vey. This team has a lot to clean up. Chiefs fans you guys have a defense and a scheme. Eagles still haven’t figured it out. Eagles got fucked up on the line of scrimmage in the first half but competed better in the 2nd half. I feel like the Steelers after watching that.

Really Chiefs? Couldn’t put up one score at home in the 2nd half to win this game?

That's arguably our WR1 you're cutting, lmao. He at least does things sometimes... unlike MVS.
It's engineered this way, the salary cap, the draft, the parity...no team can have elite everything every position, every team even the best ones have a weakness. For KC it's WRs, for SF it's DBs, etc

I really don’t understand Reid not playing Rice more, and actually using him.

He has been their most reliable WR for most of the season, and most games he is getting 4-5 targets a game.

Get him involved Reid. Your team needs a reliable WR and he is standing on your sideline.

And it seems like when he does play he’s only given a limited route tree. I don’t watch their all 22. Maybe he does run deeper routes but he doesn’t win on them so it doesn’t look like he gets to run them.

that is what I didnt understand.
They stopped using the chain mover (by good chunks) & just started getting predictable & passing.
Running game was working.
You mean to tell me Andy Reid gave up on the running game too soon?

There isn’t going to be a positional group in the playoffs as bad as the KC WR’s are.

We saw it week 1. We’ve seen it a lot of weeks since. And now against another top contender it once again completely shows.

This is looking like a fatal flaw.

Steelers or Jets at QB could be in the running. But your point stands.

They stink. Real bad.

The thing is the Chiefs have put a lot of money and picks into that WR room and they have basically nothing to show for it but some guy off Tampa Bay's scraps and a rookie out of SMU.

Hardman and Moore begin straight up busts is haunting them more than "parity."
