Like Huff Duran and Taveras. I think Huff needs more time. Most do not agree. Not so with Duran and Leody. They have had time to make a difference and have not made the grade.

Huff has found himself stuck behind players that are too good to push aside. Huff is a good catcher Heim is a better catcher. Huff is a below average 1st baseman Lowe is a better 1st baseman. What do we do? Bench one of them so that Huff gets the playing time. Personally I hope Huff goes far but the best option for that probably isn’t with the Rangers

I can agree on Leody but Duran has a little over a year of experience. Don't see him as a starter but a bench player who can backup most positions. He had to cover for Seager and Jung.

No argument about comparing him with Hedges. But it’s Heim that’s in his way right now and it’s Heim who is going to be the road block to him getting any significant playing time at MLB level. Garver is a free agent unless something has changed in the last hour. Right now Huff is the #2 catcher

Most haven’t give up on or dislike them as players but recognize that those players are good but are unlikely to break into a team’s roster because there are better players ahead of them or coming up behind them. Rangers have multiple players in that fix who find themselves stuck with no real chance to add advance.

Correct. Not most. A significant percentage, but probably not most. It has been a very vocal minority though.

Duran has dug a hole for himself with management. Don’t know what he did but they put Smith and Hedges on the postseason roster for the ALWC, ALDS, ALCS and the WS and even though he was in the dugout through out all of them he was as far away from Bochy and the other coaches as he could get

Or the Rangers could decide that Duran, Smith, Taveras and maybe Huff (if they bring Garver or another free agent catcher in) could bring them some relievers and they go with Crim, Foscue, Wendzel etc as the bench UIF.
