You really don't want Allen getting hurt. The season would be over basically.
The adjustment they made in the Bucs game was to give Allen the freedom to run and the offense was much better. You can't take your best weapon and limit it and still expect the same results. Their apparent distrust in the tush push is ridiculous given the advantage Josh has in QB sneak situations.
If you look at most QB injuries, they happen in the pocket trying to elude the pass rush, even for running QBs. Sure, there is always the risk of non-contact injuries when cutting or a roughing penalty with or without a slide, but eliminating the run from dual threat QBs is shooting yourself in the foot. QBs are much more likely to get a leg twisted in the pocket than running the ball, given the protections for QBs these days.
