Yep bad call. I will say the Browns in the past got screwed out of so many tight games with bad calls. I was kinda shocked they made the call bc they seem to never get those crucial calls.

Maybe Watson hooked them up with some free massages

As mentioned, thought the call with the illegal contact on Cooper was, in fact, illegal contact (sure, we see that not called sometimes, too). PI a bad call as not catchable.

Maybe it makes up for the no PI call when Cooper was clearly interfered with on our last play vs. Steelers? another 40 or so more and we'll be squared.

Eagles pass their first test. They lucked out with Miami injuries at CB and on the OL. Hurts ball security (a developing problem) kept Miami in the game handing them 10 of the 17 points. Was great to see them close out the game though with that 5-6 minute 4Q drive.

Shout out to Lane Johnson. He was at around 75/80% on that ankle this week. He had a sackless streak going not having given up a sack since 2020. He didn’t give a fuck. His team needed him. He played great but a great pass rusher caught him with an inside move to the side of the poor ankle and beat him for a sack. Hell of a streak Lane. Start another.

agree....another 9 yards receiving by Swift would have made it so much better.

Browns need to go and trade for Jacoby Brissett. Just read Lloyd at TheAthletic. It makes too much sense. Watson is hurt and a mess right now. PJ Walker is not good. They got some luck to win the last 2 games.

The defense is too good to waste this season. Go get Brisset- even if its a 4th round pick- and give Watson time to get healthy and get his head on straight.

They cannot keep starting PJ Walker. They just cannot. The defense is too good to waste this year. Myles Garrett is too good to waste a year of his prime. They have some weapons on offense too- but Walker just cannot get the ball to them. He just cant throw the ball well. Every pass I worry about an interception.

If watson cannot go, ideally would like to get Brissett and play him first 58 minutes. Walker the last 2 if we need a score.

To be fair they didn't "let him go". He was a FA and guessing they at least made an offer. Likely got more from Washington and most important at least a chance to start without the starter getting hurt.

Apparently if you put a good team around him he is still less than stellar. He hasn't played good even though he has weapons and a very solid defense.

Carr is no different than most of the QB's in the league. There are the elites that can overcome a poor roster and/or coaching and the guys who aren't good no matter what.

Carr isn't either of those. He's one of the guys somewhere in between.

right now it's definitely Deshaun but I think eventually that reads out differently. If not the Browns fucked up an excellent roster with one guy.

RW is playing way better this season, not his fault the OL and defense is trash.

Smith had 1 going into the same age season as Myles and then added 2
Thomas won 3 his whole career (obviously he died though)
Watt had 2 his entire career

I don't think anyone saw Watson being this bad.

Baker is still proving to be very hot and cold though.
