I was with you til that last part, I think baseball has teams of destiny more than any other sport. Certainly not every year but some teams aren’t going to be denied often.

It’s got a natural level of variance

Imagine what football would look like if all 3 qbs rotated during the season

Plus it’s a matter of sequencing your hits to a certain extent

But they’re run numbers where the 120 loss Mets would beat the 98 Yankees in a 5 game series 33% of the time

that sucks

The most important thing for him is to continue to prepare like he’s the QB each week and to continue that piece of his development. He plays a game where he’s going to take shots. That’s the game for him. This isn’t so bad long term. I think they should have sat him this year anyway. He showed promise in his starts. Blessing in disguise here for me.

Yeah I guess you can’t trust the team that was 3rd in runs per game and 3rd in HR’s lol.

The Rangers pitching is the key. Been lights out this postseason other than one game
Nobody has beaten them in the post season. Plus they had a +162 run differential this year and led their division like 154 of 162 games or something like that. Rangers are legit. I have mad respect for all three other clubs playing right now because to be here you have to have performed in the clutch. That means something the later it gets and the closer you get to the championship. Neither the Astros nor the D’Backs are down for the count. Phil’s have horrible recent history with Game 2s. Their NLCS game 2 2022 they blow a 4-0 lead and lose. WS 2022 they lose. NLDS game 2 they blow a 4-0 lead and lose. All of those games were on the road though. The Phil’s can’t waste a home game and drop game 2 this series.

Im convinced the chargers will never be good
It’s crazy but for decades they always seem to have teams that are right there but 3 out of 4 times in the clutch they find ways to lose.

Eric Parker and marlon Mccree (but mostly Parker) cost them a title in the mid 2000s

They also dropped like 10 passes that game

It makes you very human to believe that

28th in QBR?

19 sacks (tied for 4th) brings that way down. Russ brings a lot of that on himself, but the O-line has not been good either. His passer rating is 99, 7th in the league.

Passing stats are solid though: 65.9%, 1305 yards, 12 TD, 4 INT

His OL is trash and the WR'S have not been stellar this season. Yet, he is having a pretty good bounce back season.

Always losing to Brady, Manning and Big Ben. Now they will always lose to guys like Mahomes and Allen.

Rivers and Herbert are similiar in the fact they could never seem to win the big games. Whether it is on them, the team, coaches, FO...just never enough.

I was mocked for saying this but one point stands out

"The Browns defense has allowed just 1,002 yards through five games this year. It is the fewest any team has given up through the first five games in over 50 years, per NFL on CBS."
Woods to Schwartz was the best turnaround in NFL history for defense basically is what they are saying LOL

Joe Woods should be a couch right now
