Dalvin Cook to the Jets whispers are cranking up into full on rumbling..
My translation..Breece Hall ain't gonna be ready anytime soon
Or Rodgers wants to play with a veteran vs a 2nd year player who only played half his rookie season.

I don't think Rodgers has that kind of pull, not with what little, relatively speaking, they have up for him.
Signing near vet minimum ancillary WR's is one thing, signing the biggest free agent RB after spending 2 straight high value draft picks at the position.. another entirely. Plus Michael Carter is plenty capable and an in house option if that's his biggest worry.

However, if that is the case, than Rodgers is every bit the cancer he's been made out to be and heaven help the Jets and their fans

If he doesn’t have pull, why did the Jets go out and sign a bunch of his former teammates?

Well, as I wrote, signing a few of near vet minimums like Cobb, and not too terrible market value contract for Lazard, is entirely different beast then signing the biggest name free agent RB in years, especially after spending high value picks on Hall and Carter in back to back years.
Especially when the only receivers of note were Wilson and perennial disappointment Corey Davis. Mecole Hardman wasn't an ex teamate and they signed him, they obviously identified a need, may as well fill it with guys the QB knows...RB is not a need, unless Hall isn't ready

I think it’s mostly that:
A. Hall won’t be ready
B. Carter’s fine but who’s behind him?
C. Rodgers doesn’t throw that much under Hackett

What if they could get Cook on a one year deal? What's the downside? Why would the Jets pass? Rodgers does have pull because this year is all about the Jets being the best they can be for THIS year.

Yeah exactly...mostly Breece Hall won't be ready, and if that's the case, yeah, there's M. Carter and Z. Knight..which, could be worse, but yeah there would be a need.

And the offense under Hackett? Well maybe, maybe not, but again, if Hall is there, Carter and Knight are around..they're good regardless

I just can't buy the notion of Rodgers imposing his will and that Hall isn't good enough for his liking. I just don't buy that they'd bend over that far for him...unless there was more to it than just that.

Rodgers: how do you know hall will be ready?
Jets: we don't
Rodgers: could you please try to get a healthier RB for my one year. It's a tough position.

I believe the way his contract is structured, Rodgers makes more money in 2024. And given his hippy dippy mindset, i can see him "finding" an injury to miss some of 2023 so all pieces fall in place for next year.
Probably wont happen.
But that is in his wheelhouse. Just dont trust him.

I am making this harder than it should be? Did the first guy play for both the Colts and Bears?

correct - the answers have to qualify for both the x and y axis criteria

they give a good rules overview if you click at the bottom too

So all this made me realize is that I don't care jackshit about who plays for any team, but I nailed all of the 1000 yard rushers because that's fantasy relevant. LOL.

Well shoot, the first guy that came to mind was Jim Harbaugh, but he predates the 1999 start....
:sigh: :gaah:

Jim Harbuagh rushing for 1k yards would've been extremely impressive too
 well i guess i'm confused by the first box (upper left).... i thought we were just picking a player that played for both the Colts & Bears between 99 & 22.
