Miami’s problem is that they don’t match up well at all. Their one starting player over 6’7” is 6’9”. Meanwhile Denver starts at a muscular 6’8”, an outside shooting F at 6’10” and their MVP at 7’. Their chances come down to getting hot from 3, or getting Jokic and Gordon sitting on the bench with foul trouble.Miami missed a lot of open shots. I expect them to make more of those shots. Denver didn't exactly light it up from 3 either though so both teams can actually play better next game which is a good thing for the Nuggets as they won going away and still have better ball to play. Watching Jokic target the AG mismatch early in the game over and over again was like watching Manning relentlessly pick on a rookie CB all game.
Regular season doesn’t necessarily correlate to postseason, but Denver is now 11-1 vs Miami in the past 5 years.
