I'm cautiously optimistic. I was entirely against the pick at first, but after funbags talked me off the ledge and the news I keep hearing about his drive and work ethic from rookie camp then hearing the story of working with his receivers at 1am in the hotel parking lot the night before rookie camp I am leaning more towards, let's see what he can do.

Don’t forget the capable hands of Shane Steichen. Shane had Herbert his rookie year with the Chargers and with Hurts the last two. The guy knows how to bring QBs along. I don’t know if AR will make it but I know that this is likely the best spot he could have landed in for a chance to develop into an NFL QB.

Just go back to wonder how many finals the new Lakers would have gotten to. You know, when they did it right, Ingram, Kuzma, Randle, who knows if Ball never got hurt, Hart, three first round picks. I would have watched that team.

I don't recall any of those players getting close to any finals elsewhere. Lakers already have 1 championship with AD and a second trip to the WCF. Randle is playing his way off the Knicks (especially at playoff time), Kuzma is chasing a new contract/role that I don't know that he will get, Ball is a mystery at this point due to injuries, etc. Hart has proven himself a winning role player, but has not yet found a team to get him to a championship. Ingram is the big ticket player, but even he has been torpedoed by Zion's inability to get on the floor consistently.
