What? The LIV guys finished in 3 out of the top 4 places. They are legit. I don’t think there will be any more talk about banning them. The Majors will come up with something that includes the top LIV players or they risk losing legitimacy and they don’t want that

Do you really think 3 of the top four spots being filled by LIV golfers was not an excellent showing. I don’t think Monty is affiliated with LIV at all. Are you sure you aren’t thinking of Ian Poulter?

Yup.... safe to say that this was a complete ass whooping by the PGA.

10 of the 17 PGA guys finished in the top 25. Only 4 LIV guys did.
8 PGA guys in the top 10. Only 3 LIV guys.

I think outside of a select few not many thought that LIV was a 1 to 1 competitor. I think LIV absolutely outplayed their projections. PGA for sure won on the leaderboard, but the results are also a big win for LIV.

I don't understand all the hatred for LIV, granted I have only popped in from time to time on these threads, so maybe it is made clear and I missed it. The absolute fact is PGA was not ever going to improve payouts for it's tournaments unless something like LIV came along. It is not an accident that Monahan instituted all this extra pay once LIV started signing a few top players. PGA players seem desperate to shit on a group of people that made them a LOT of money.

I don't have hatred for LIV, but I think it's a horrendously bad product. The same 48 players playing the same IDGAF golf 1-2 times a month. The music is so f'ing annoying and so is the atmosphere.

I definitely don't like many of the changes we are seeing on tour. There is a clear separation with the escalated tournament weeks and the rest. The non escalated tournament weeks really suck. It's going to suck even more next year when they cut the field sizes down in the top events and eliminate cuts. WTF is that??? I'm good with more money going to players overall...but all these other changes were completely unnecessary.
