So what you're both saying is, the only reason the 76ers haven't won a championship or even made it to the Eastern finals is because the league hindered you with the Colangelos?
That’s not what I said at all. It’s at this point that I stopped reading. What’s the point? You can carry on a conversation with yourself. If you’re just going to make up what I said anyway, you really don’t need me here.

That's what your friend said. I included you so I could respond to you both. You not choosing to read it is all on you, that ain't anyone else's fault but yours. You made the choice to stop reading because I said something you didn't like. Don't put that on me, consult your feelings as to why you got so butthurt by that one sentence.

Anyway, the league screwed them because of the Colangelos, who, by the way, they've been the most successful they've been since the late 90s-early 00s under Colangelo? Seems like the league did the Sixers a favor because before Colangelo, y'all didn't have a winning season for the 5 years prior to Colangelo coming through and SAVING the Sixers. If the process was to just make the playoffs and win 1 division title, then great, it worked! Congrats! But if it was to win a title, it didn't work, it's been over a decade, it wasn't worth it.

Stop blaming the league for the team's shortcomings year after year after year after year after year after year.
Stop blaming the league for not being able to draft well. Outside of Joel Embiid, the only first round draft pick that wasn't a bust within the last 12 years is Tyrese Maxey. Ty Jerome (2019), Mikal Bridges (2018), Markelle Fultz (2017), Ben Simmons (2016), Jahlil Okafor (2015), Michael Carter-Williams (2013), all busts for y'all. I'm also not including Roddy or Springer as the jury is still out on those two.

Bottom line, stop blaming the league for the Process not working.

The Process absolutely worked.
They even changed the rules so it wouldn't happen again.

Even the full quote sucks. He said he needs to play better but he also dissed his teammates.

Where does he diss his teammates? His response is a canned response after a loss. “We all have to do better.” People are making too much of this.

yup.

it was the step AFTER the process that failed.

okc is in the pre-tobias harris trade mode of where Philly was.

San Antonio actually has the generational talent and a nice set of draft picks too.
Really curious to see how OKC and SAS do from here on out.

Come on now, you both realize how much of a shitty excuse that is right? Adam Silver and the NBA did not screw the Sixers.
They did it purpose and the owner was too cowardly to do anything about it.

In fact, you are a coward too for full throating what they did.

You still don't get what he was talking about?

It's not just about me and james it's about everyone. The roster decisions aren't up to me. Even if me and James come back that doesn't mean anything. I need to be better anyway.

I'm a coward because I disagree with you? LMAO that's a new one.

Listen, you can be mad all you want, but at the end of the day, the players on the 76ers weren't good enough to make it to an Eastern Conference Final during this whole "Process" thing. That's got nothing to do with the Colangelos or whoever the owner is. That's on the players and the coaches.

Then you don't understand what Sam Hinkie was trying to achieve.
Yeah, I must not because I thought the entire point of the NBA was to win championships, not to just make the playoffs and never reach a Conference Final. Sounds like Sam Hinkie was a fucking idiot then.

He works in mysterious ways
And unsuccessful ways, apparently. The Sixers are a perennial playoff team, I mean that's something I guess, but they aren't winning anything substantial and if I'm tanking for 5 years, it ain't gonna be with the goal in mind to JUST make the playoffs and never make it to a conference final. Like, I'm at least gunning to win a title or 2 after stacking up all those lottery picks.

The league absolutely did. The biggest errors in the Process came when the Sixers were rudderless in the front office after Burner gate. They decided to trade Mikal Bridges and they decided to keep Simmons over Jimmy Butler. The Colangelos were only there because the NBA stepped in to the Process after 3 years. Meanwhile, next year will be year 5 of both the Pistons and Rockets tanks. Teams tank all the time in the NBA. Only with the Sixers have you seen the NBA step in and essentially force out a team’s GM and make them hire an approved personality to take over. That approved personality was old man Colangelo who then practiced nepotism and hired his son. They were an unmitigated disaster. The Sixers have to take ownership of their own failures and decisions during that era. However, it’s also fair to point out that Adam Silver and the NBA really did Fuck them in an unprecedented way.

lol

Bullshit.

The biggest error in the process was the Sixers being stupid enough to try to get cute and giving it a name.

Tanking is like Fight Club and the Sixers broke the 1st rule.

That's 100% on them.

You’ve said this before and it’s just a defense that leans on hypocrisy. The only difference this statement leans on is they don’t want the public talking about it. Yet here we are the public still talks about it. All your argument does it protect an insulting dance in which the NBA calls it’s fans stupid for not recognizing what’s going on.

Nope. It’s evidence of them playing favorites. When you nut ride a league darling like the Lakers you don’t see it.

No, the Sixers were too stupid to keep their mouths shut.

Other teams have gotten away with it because they never admitted it and damn sure didn't give it a name.
