Dude walks the walk. He’s been a leader in every locker room he’s ever been in. He’s a coach’s son so that verbiage isn’t a surprise. For some dude’s this is just lip service. This is who Hurts is. Delighted that this man is my QB.

Must be because he's experienced so many of those championships and didn't just get a record contract.....oh, wait.

He won a national title. And if not for a fugaze defensive hold call he gets the ball back with 1:35 left and goes and wins the game. Dude was lights out that night. He’s had one swing. You’re mocking Hurts for performing well in a game Josh Allen will never play in.

Adding Russ last year was supposed to fix the Broncos, now a head coaching change....I'll believe it when I see it.

To be fair, the coach that they had last year wasn't exactly Sean Payton's level.

He was expecting Rogers and didn't change his offense to fit his QB when he didn't get him.

This kind of it for Russ though.

If Payton can't get him back to at least close to who he used to be, then he's truly washed and should just retire.

Are we expecting career athletes to be intelligent now? Even before the blows to the head, these guys weren't exactly known to focus on school work lol.
Sorry he’s not dumb, that’s just stupid stuff

I love the Eagles blueprint of investing in the line of scrimmage. I really do. It’s what has made them a consistent franchise during Lurie’s ownership. But to be great, you have to take risks and go out of their comfort zone. Most of the time, a RB at 10 is a poor pick. Not this time. This guy takes an already elite offense to a new level. This Saints pick is a luxury. It was originally acquired to hedge on Hurts as the franchise QB. They got a great answer on that and he’s the best QB in the NFC. They can still draft DT or DE at 30. Plus they have 12 picks in next year’s draft. LFG! Make this happen Howie.

Hurts "won" a national title on the bench, bailed out by Tua.

You're lashing out at a player not even mentioned here because you know Hurts' statement meant nothing. You can't get a record contract, then immediately spin that it's not about the money.

Yeah, that's some bs right there.

You come in looking to send some guys packing...that's fine. Coaches want to get "their type of players".

Every new head coach in the country does this.

But don't boot guys out or encourage them to leave and then not allow them access to something that can help them do that.

GTFO! Haha. He was a winner at Alabama and took that team places before Tua was ready. Lazy opinion to say Hurts isn’t a winner.

Is that a typical thing, to release practice film to opposing colleges?

Didn't say that. Said he didn't win the championship game (much like this year).

Like Deion has some crazy special schemes and drills that others can’t see? GTFO. I watched his shit at Jackson St. He isn’t some guru. He’s fake it to you make as a traditional coach while he is potentially elite as a recruiter.

By the way, tested positive for Covid. Started feeling shitty Sunday night. Took off from school Monday. Felt worse Monday night into Tuesday. Woke up Tuesday and took one of the government tests Wifey had laying around the house (Me: Why do we need these? Her: Because it’s free you big dummy!). So it’s Wednesday and I feel 110% better. So this is me right now.

From what I understand, they are usually allowed to take film of themselves. Kind of like a "highlight reel" that shows what they're capable of but doesn't show much of the teams plays, schemes, etc.

Nothing wrong with the coach looking at it and telling them to edit parts that might give too much info. But just saying they can't have any access ain't cool.

And based on the kids tweets, this seems to be common place throughout college football. They’re alluding to schools asking for it which implies the practice has become customary.

To be fair, all coaches are pretty secretive on this stuff even though everyone pretty much knows what they're going to do. Which is why I have no issue with them approving what the player can send. I just take issue with him saying "You get nothing".

I have to disagree with this assessment. They don’t advertise it much but every off season coaching staffs will get together and trade ideas. The coaching profession in football is actually very collegial. What they won’t trade secrets on is audibles and checks and signals and shit like that.

NFL draft tomorrow tonight. @fightinfunbags I’ve seen a lot of projections on the 10 pick. Some have the pick being traded to the Vikings unless the Texas RB is available. Thoughts?
