We were talking about the Saints schedule. The Saints are an NFL franchise from city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is going to play for the Lions. They’re an NFL team from the city of Detroit, Michigan. @bksballer89 is a Saints fan. He commented on their favorable schedule. I agreed with him and I reminded him that 6 of the 17 games will come vs the worst division in the NFL. You may need to hit the sack Pappy. Must have been a long day.

Weren’t you just talking about how easy the schedule is? Wouldn’t that apply to what amounts to 6 games on the schedule?

Here ya go. Dude is just a guy as a safety. He shines because he has an energy and he makes big plays. When you don’t have talent around you and you don’t have a competent defensive coordinator putting you in a position to make plays how are you going to capitalize in your show me year? He should have taken what the Bengals were willing to give him. He would have been much better off.
Do you even know what Cincy was offering him? Glad the Browns choose Thornhill over him, seems like more of a team first guy

If the rumors are true I can see why he chose the 1 year offer from Detroit. Philly offered a long-term deal (3-year) but he was going to earn $17M in year 3. Secondly, if this is my agency leaking this....yikes. Maybe CGJ told them to bc he has hard feelings over the Eagles. Either way bad look on all sides.

There’s conflicting reports from the reporters who are usually sources of Eagles leaks. The offer was 3 years 36 million with the big year being year 3 for 17 million of this. So the real contract would have been 2 years guaranteed for 19 million. He’s taking 6.5 guaranteed. The Eagles would have quickly matched this. He didn’t even go back to the Eagles because of pride. He has now fumbled two bags. Saints best writers are saying that the Saints attempted to make him the highest paid slot corner in the league which would have put him at 12-13 million per year. He went from 12.5 to 9.5 to 6.5. He’s just Fucking himself over.

To be determined, I like it when players bet on themselves.

He’s 0-2 betting on himself though.
Last year he played for 2.5 million dollars when he could have been playing for around 12.5 million. So he starts off - 10 million. This year he will play for 6.5 million plus incentives instead of a guaranteed 9.5 million.

In 2 seasons, he has left 13 million dollars on the table. He has also likely left some 40-44 million dollars of guaranteed money on the table. There’s betting on yourself and then there’s being unreasonably stupid. He’s going to be playing safety and/or slot corner or some hybrid. He has already led the league in INTs. He has already wasted his show me year for a deal and has signed up for another one in a worse situation. His agency is either inept in getting through to him or this is a case of malpractice.

Yeah, I don't know if this is bad enough to be the NFL version of Dennis Schroder turning down $84 million from the Lakers to bet on himself...but it's gotta be close. Especially since he did it twice.

Gonzaga just made their 8th consecutive sweet 16, they need a title to back that up

Seeing so many whine about this in Browns' forums (didn't get him). Would have been exciting, but can certainly understand not paying $12 mil to a regressing player for his year 30 season.

Love the term Nick Wilson uses for this type of player (not sure he created it) - name ****.

edit - Man, all the words used here surprised that was edited out. Rhymes with born.

Cooks is overrated.
