To be honest, with Mo Bamba out, it makes sense for them to get another big. Just to absorb like 10 minutes a game.

Problem is, they should have done this the moment big Mo got injured and they knew what the timeline was going to be,

With the way Gabriel has played, I can understand why they have been willing to to go more smallball when AD sits. But the problem is, as well as Gabriel has played, he just isn't big enough and stuggles to defend bigger 5's. Especialy if 's a game where AD is sitting.

I'm impressed with how Gabriel has played. I kinda expected him to be at the bottom of the rotation, even with Mo out. But he's proved himself.

The Lakers better not fuck this up. The way he's been playing, 4 years/$50m is a fucking bargain
They won’t, well unless something better comes their way.

If that is the case, wouldn’t really be considered a fuck up.

Jeanie loves the kid.

So, I think you will take care of him.

Gabriel, and until recently, Brown Jr too.

Both have outplayed their contracts.

Lonnie down bad though.

Lonnie is gone after this season. I don't see Beasley sticking around either at $16m per.

We'll see. Vanderbilt is the bargain of the century and I'd like to see D-Lo again too.

Rob is going to have an interesting off season ahead of him.

Dame: championships don’t matter
Also Dame: Imma sit this shit out because we suck
The Portland Trail Blazers face a steep hill to climb if they want to make it to the playoffs this season.

After losing six straight games and eight of their last 10, the Blazers sit 3.5 games behind the Los Angeles Lakers for the final play-in spot with 11 games left in the season.

The Blazers still have a microscopic shot at the postseason, but Damian Lillard is accepting the team’s current reality that their chance is slipping through their fingers.

“We pretty much fallen out of the race for the 10th spot,” Lillard said after Sunday’s loss. “I love to play, I love the competition and I haven’t been ready to give that up. But it does come a point in time when do you stop putting your competitive nature out front.”

He just told us that there is no time to stop putting your competitive nature out front because it’s not about winning rings, just competing every night.

Nah.

I just threw that in…lol

Lakers fans, even the most homerific ones on this site, have to much pride to say something that ridiculous.

But, it’s hilarious that they haven’t been .500 since January 2022.

true

i do have to say- its not rationale at this point---- I have my fantasy baseball draft coming up- and I know I would be better served drafting guys with better projections--- but there is always that feeling deep down inside that a guy like Joey Gallo or Trevor Story or Joey Votto or Christian Yelich still has that star pedigree that they can be what they once were.

Lakers still give you what- at this point - is that irrationale fear? partly rationale fear?--- and maybe there is some rationality to it- LeBron and Davis IF HEALTHY, blah blah....but at this point .......almost 2 plus seasons...you just are what you are.
