I just never get the doubling of a player when you're up 2 in the final seconds to give a solid shooter an open 3.
Miami did the same thing vs Philly this year but thankfully Harden mised.
I rather give no help and live with the results....if the star hits a 2 pt fg then let's play 5 more.

The doubling of Kyrie wasn't even that big of an issue, though I do generally agree with your logic. The problem was AD had no business running over to help when Kyrie was already being doubled. He completely zoned out on that last play doing who the fuck knows what, leaving his man wideass open. Still not as bad as that sloppy as fuck contest on the Kleber 3 when Dallas was down 4 (why even go that hard at it? It only leads to problems). Those final 10 seconds AD played some of the dumbest basketball of his life.
