They are fools if they do.

Even the Spurs trade addresses both areas of weakness.
and the thing is- you can then re-flip those guys.

if you lose RW's expiring deal- and go undere the cap- its not easy to get that back anytime soon. Trade for guys with Bird Rights, etc...

@DJ @WiggyRuss @Shanemansj13 @wildturkey @shopson67 @trojanfan12

This is what @The Q was talking about when he said the Lakers will operate as an over the cap team.

This is a really good breakdown by Keith.

If they can get Rui @ a low starting salary, they can still add a decent player.

I really like this trade. It addresses wing depth and he's shot 41.3% on catch and shoot 3's over the past 3 seasons. He's also only 24. He's a restrictrd FA after the season and from what I heard today, they intend to re-sign him.

Yeah the catch and shoot stat is why this makes sense

Oh, I know....

The interesting part?

"Kendrick Nunn was a consistent rotation player, but he’s part of a guard mix for the Lakers that runs five-deep beyond him when healthy. Swapping Nunn for Hachimura rebalances the rotation and should allow Darvin Ham to avoid relying on so many three- and sometimes four-guard lineups."

Not garbage like you said.

Dude... :L

Yes, he's played well over the last 10 or so games. That's great and he has helped them tread water with AD out.

But the only reason he's playing at all is because of other injuries. He is not a guy who is going to be able to sustain that level of play.

Omg

Obaji just fucked himself up.

Shanked the dunk, tried to catch the rim, missed, head first into the court.

Ouch

And I was just coming here to say Utah should considering buying with him and a few of the picks they’ve acquired

I liked him from his days at Gonzaga.

Lakers did very well.

The way Rob did it was pretty smart too, imo.

He moved Nunn, one of the 2nd round picks is from the Bulls and another is a pick swap. If I remember correctly, 2 of them are a few years from now.

That bulls pick could be too 40

One pick is the worse if wash/lal in 2028 and the other 2029

That’s probably why they got 3 picks. Two are way down the road
