@The Q i can’t comment in the other thread or like your post. Great comment about the Nets punting on the Sixers pick last season. In addition to the pick now not likely being as high, the Sixers used that pick to acquire Melton which looks like the crown jewel of their off season, especially considering the PJ Tucker contract looks like a bad deal already in just year 1 of a 3 year contract
You got a timeout?

LMAO.

I haven't seen as many Sixer games as you.....what is the problem in him fitting in?

Is he washed or just trying to find his niche there?

It’s complicated. There are reports that he’s playing hurt and that impacts the quality of the main shot you want him taking…the corner 3. Whatever. To me it’s just a product of a guy who is long in the tooth. With a three year deal, I knew that was coming, but I didn’t anticipate it this early. At the same time, he was brought in to provide toughness to the group and the locker room. I’m not in the locker room so I don’t know if he’s having that impact. I see him now as an overpaid luxury which this team can afford because they have really nice depth. He could play a role come playoff time as a guy who can play some minutes on guys like Tatum, Giannis, KD, etc…. Those guys are too good to be shut down, but Tucker can make life a little more difficult for them. We will see but gun to my head right now - I’m saying it’s a bad contract.

I couldn’t pop a laughing emoji on your comment. But that’s what I would have done.

I don’t see it unless the Eagles are an epic collapse. People are over valuing the Giants because they just played the worst defense in the playoffs. Jones threw for 300 yards 3 times this year and 2 of the 3 came against the Vikings. The Giants scored 30 just twice this year. This is a good matchup for the Eagles. In the first meeting, they sacked Jones 7 times just sending 4. They scored 48 points with Hurts on no restrictions and with no Dallas Goedert. People are definitely knee jerking a 9 win team.

No doubt. That’s what had to be done to pry him away from Miami. He’s definitely overpaid. Where the Sixers have the luxury is guys like Embiid, Harden, Harris, Maxey are gonna be on the floor for his minutes so he doesn’t need to provide much offensively. The contract will always be technically “bad” because what he brings isn’t worth 10 million a year but it gets horrible if he regresses further as a defensive player. He has been a solid offensive rebounder for them. However, the Sixers don’t rebound well as a team. If they are going to continue to use Embiid to rim protect then they need Harris, Tucker, and the guards to be more committed to getting on the defensive glass.

Saw an interesting trade proposal in the offseason. James for Harris, Maxey, Thybulle and a 1st rounder and 2nd.

Harden would have to commit to being a full time SG while James ran the offense and Embiid did his thing. That could be a nasty trio if Harden bought in.

I don’t know. I think that’s overkill and mortgaging the future for one swing at a championship. Harden isn’t even technically signed for next year. If this current group doesn’t work out, Harden may not even be back in the fold next year. I don’t want to part with Maxey for that. If Maxey is leaving then I want a guy who is a true 3 and D player about 6’6’’-6’8’’ who can shoot 38%+ from 3 and be a perimeter stopper on the defensive end. That’s the piece that could take the Embiid Harden group to the next level. Short of taking this group to the next level, I don’t see the sense in dealing Maxey who is giving them great production on a cheap contract.

The wife and I also.

She's handling the 'Rona pretty well.....but a loss and she'll be in a shitty mood.
I dunno if you ever heard of Paxlovid. When I had Coronavirus back in July of last year it knocked it out in about a week...

How pumped are you that they play the Jags today instead of their nemesis the Bengals? Chiefs were granted a huge advantage with how Bengals Bills worked out and was ruled upon.
Old saying. You wanna be the best, you gotta BEAT the best. I keep saying that this scenario came up last season too. "We couldn't beat the Bills". How'd that work out last season...?

Lol if you think they're "scared", think again...
