If that's what you want, then bitch about the league, not the refs. The leagues are the ones complicating the rules to the point that no one knows what a catch or a legal tackle is anymore. Add to that the fact that players are bigger, stronger, faster and more athletic than ever, makes it an impossible job.

Bitching and crying about the refs is like going to a restaurant and bitching and crying at the server because the chef overcooked your food. The league is who is complicating the rules and expecting the refs to clean it up for them.
I don’t watch enough NFL to know.

But, this sounds very similar to the Kawhi/Spurs situation.

...and next up always gets a record-breaking contract.
And he’s negotiating watching a QB that’s not as good as he is with a major off the field issue just got his new contract fully guaranteed. Watson was able to manufacture multiple teams at the negotiating table in a way Lamar couldn’t.

He shouldn’t say this, but it is the truth.

Maybe he went public with that comment because he sees the writing on the wall with Lamar and wants him to stay.
Or perhaps he thinks Jackson should have played?

....because Lamar is injured and under contract and trying to save face. Watson had no face left to save and just let overanxious teams overbid for his services. What about Watson's performance this season looked any better than Brisset's? Brisset completed more passes, threw deeper down field, threw fewer ints (per attempt), got sacked less, had a higher rating, etc etc.

He deserves more than Watson clearly.
Again, different circumstance. You can't compare. A handful or more QB's deserve more so every QB from now on that is better than Watson deserves all guaranteed money lol. That's not how it works. Lamar isn't the brightest bulb in the room. The fact is he turned down the most guaranteed money in NFL history not counting Watson, he is an idiot.
Now he suffered an injury after betting on himself. I highly doubt he is getting that fully guaranteed contract that seems to matter most to him.

@fightinfunbags

You gonna watch any of St. Joe's/LaSalle today?

Thought I saw a comment of yours the other day where you said you went to St. Joe's. My bad if I mixed you up with someone else.

You’re looking at it the wrong way. The contract he turned down will likely be there for him on the open market. The Ravens can withhold from him that change for 2 more years. During that time, he will be getting around $50 million as the average of the top 3 at his position. Then after that, he is in position to negotiate. If he gets another $150 million guaranteed over 6 years and $50 million per year there is exactly what he is risking. It’s all about his health and that brings us back to this moment. When he isn’t guaranteed to have this cash, he’s not playing at less than 100%. If the Ravens wanted the man to make that choice then they needed to commit to him with the contract he dictated in a seller’s market.

Yep. I got out in ‘99. However, I’m very down on them right now. The University was positioned well during the Jameer run and they never cashed in. They have been poorly managed as a whole and that his filtered into athletics. They have an outsider of an AD that doesn’t understand the school or the community. This new AD ushered out Phil Martelli when Martelli earned the right to decide when he would hang them up. Part of that would have been Phil directing the succession in grooming an assistant. New AD hires a former Jay Wright assistant who most recently before hire was with Brett Brown’s Sixers and was their defensive assistant. Dude was horrible in that role. He had RoCo Embiid and Simmons and didn’t have that group in the top half of the league. His name is Billy Lange. He’s run the basketball program into the ground. He doesn’t have ins with recruiting. On top of that, the school isn’t financially committed. They have subpar facilities which goes back to them not taking advantage of this season:

You ever seen Allen get snuffed on a sneak? I haven’t.
Don't recall the exact details (if he was snuffed) but recall a game last season team down by a FG inside the TN 10 late and they went for a 4th and very short (a foot, maybe?) and Allen didn't get it. Possible he tripped, though, as I don't recall.

Been pretty much been saying it all season long...
Yes...winning close games can be the players or coaches but often it's just good luck, and it just ran out on them.

I'd like to reserve their good luck for my team next season.
