Doesn't matter if I trust Ron to do it or not. I think he's here next year. The point of my post was to say how nice it would be if Howell was our guy and we could spend 16 elsewhere.

Hopefully Ron is fired soon because we have to know who is likely buying.
If Ron gets fired this week that's an indication that Dan has dug his heels in. I don't see Dan buying out that entire staff's contracts as a parting gift.

There are things you can bitch about regarding RR but his drafts have been better than most .... read the draft history of Washington.

Ron is not being fired this year, there is no one who gives a shit to fire him. Which means he is in charge of the draft and FA. I seriously doubt Turner is being fired, either. Ron is too loyal, to a fault. i have no problem bringing in a vet journeyman QB as long as they understand that we are most likely starting a young QB (Howell or someone else) and it’s their job to help in the development and act as backup in the event of injury. Priority two: resign Payne.

spend all draft capital on shoring up the offensive line and LB corps. With and emphasis on OL. Surround your young QB with talent. We already arguably have the best WR corps in the NFL. We also have a stable of very talented RBs. So the major pieces are there. We can win with a young QB if we have an OL that can block. Look to FA to fill any gaping holes, but don’t overpay for has been talent (a Snyder speciality).

given our draft position, we are not getting a top rated QB in the draft. However, we could be in a position to draft a pro bowl caliber left tackle or guard to anchor the line for the next 10 years. Draft the best available qb in round 3 or later.

I’m still riding with RR. He still has work to do. He’s definitely not perfect, but he’s bringing some respect and accountability back to this team, players always play hard for him. A lot of you’re touting all these first year head coaches how good they’re doing, but two things, one most have qb1, and it’s not uncommon for a new system and coach to surprise teams in their first seasons

I would agree with you at the beginning of the season, but he has made some bad decisions this year. Whether it's in game or qb situations. Clock mgt. Alot of bad things that you don't normally see for a vet head coach. He will survive b/c of the ownership change.

I don’t blame him for the qbs. He had to pick between a qb not mentally fit and a fan favorite that when teams adjust to him doesn’t have the skill set to win games

He should of went to Howell after the CW injury. He knew what he had in TH, that is why he drafted Howell. I didnt blame him going back to CW for the Cle game. He knew he couldnt win with TH. He could of started Howell for the CLe game too. Howell was ready.

So many Claim these rookies should sit out their first year though, so I can’t fault the decision. Yes I wanted to see him after the second giants game

It was just nonsense when RR said TH wasn't ready after the CW injury. He should be fired but he won't b/c the ownership change. RR is on the hot seat for 2023.

lol thats funny. If RR keep Turner, the offensive players will be upset. RR should be forced to fire Turner.

Even if they keep Heinicke Ron is bringing someone in here. He knows the chances of him ever getting another HC job are slim and none. He's not gonna trust his career to Heinicke and Howell.
He trusted it to Heinicke n Wentz. I'm hard-pressed to think Howell n Heinicke could do worse. I agree with you though on they bring in another QB. I'm thinking a veteran, but who knows.

Oh, and RR did end one interview with this nugget, 'We're headed in the right direction.' And considering some of the shitty decisions he's made as HC n GM over the last 3 years. I have no idea WTF RR is gonna do.

Last year was different. He knows he's got a guy coming in here that didn't hire him. It's now or never and I'm sure he knows that. I saw enough from Howell to give me pause about chasing Carr or Rodgers.

Rodgers is a total flake, but I'm not gonna sit here and BS the board and say I wouldn't be pumped for the season knowing Aaron is throwing to McLaurin, Dotson, and Samuel.

It just feels like its gonna be a Jimmy G, Brissett, type move. Maybe JDR stands on the table for Carr?

Wait and see I guess.

i think the choice to sit SH was a good one . falco put up a 5-3-1 record and he certainly would have done better vs cleveland .then what wince did . SH had a good 1st start and part of that can be attributed to sitting and learning

that doesnt mean i think RR is the answer . he is horrible at clock mgt , is too loyal and accepting of mediocre play , he doesnt know who to keep and who should walk , and in game adjustments are scarce . if we had a new owner he would be gone

but we are stuck with him so hopefully he pulls his head out of his ass during FA , and continues to draft well (he has hit on a few)

We would know a lot more about SH if we started him after the CW injury. No TH wouldn't have won the Cle game b/c our 2nd half defense was horrible. Like I said before there was no upside in playing TH this year. He has proved multiple times that he is not a starting QB in this league. I though RR realized this in the draft by drafting SH. I guess not.

Glad to finally see Howell get some game action. He was the QB in this draft that intrigued me the most and maybe this gives him a foothold moving into next season.

Keep in mind teams were like 0-16 after playing that niner team this year, or some kind of shit like that. Physical game when you play that team.
