Problem is it's a logistical nightmare just to be nice to two teams.

And quite honestly I'd rather be unfair to two teams rather than act as though a players life doesn't matter.

This is not a normal situation, but I'm sure they will sit down with the NFLPA to come to an agreement on how to procede if it ever happens again. If this happened in week 1, I'd bet they'd make it up, however this close to the end off the season makes it tough to do so. If it was two non-playoff teams a make-up game isn’t being discussed.

You are a remarkably dumb fan. A week of rest is nice. When that turns into 3 weeks until the team plays a game then that turns into a negative.

The last time the Eagles made the SB in 2004/05 Donovan McNabb didn't play in week 17 and only threw 3 passes in week 16 because they clinched a bye early that season. Andy Reid also rested other key starters as well.

Now it's a moot point so we can all move forward with someone in the AFC likely screwed over in seeding

He’s also forgetting that Sirianni doesn’t play anybody in the preseason and yet in the past two years they came out and executed in Week 1 despite not getting the work. For me, that translates well to the Eagles being ready to play game 1 despite the rest and any rust that presents.
