I am not sure what to root for or look forward to other than hoping the team is sold. Did anyone wonder why the introduced the hog mascot for a team he is going to sell? Fingers crossed.

If the sale goes through then I will start thinking forward again. Until then it is limbo land.

Tuddy .... Old (very old) slang for a Touchdown apparently.

That or they just made that shit up and flooded the internet to make it sound legit.

Well that sucked. Not sure where to begin. Once I saw that Curl and BSJ were out I knew we were gonna lose. I did not think we would lose in that fashion.

Wentz was absolutely terrified from the get go. Not being able to hit simple swing passes is nerves. He wet the bed. I'm not sure we win that game with Heinicke, but I do know we had no shot with Wentz.

Ron has been here three years and has yet to have a winning record. That alone would get most fired. What really got me today is the fact that he didn't even know a Packers loss eliminated his team.

How can we trust Ron to play situational football when it comes to score, clock, and timeouts if he doesn't even know playoff scenarios that include his team being eliminated? That right there is a fireable offense.

Scott calls a pitch on 4th and one and waived Robinson off the field before doing that. Scott is coaching for the job he wants and not the job he has. Ron had KOC sitting there waiting.

You have Landon making house calls for the Giants. Ron asked him to take two playcuts. Landon took the first one. Low ball Landon to have Mayo and Bostic out there? Let Flowers twist in the wind all season.

In a coach centric system, right or wrong, Ron has to own all of this.

Having AG today would have been nice.

Everyone save Cosmi has to go on the o-line. Cosmi is your RG next year and the other four must be filled. Leno is okay. Maybe he comes back, but the Skins can save a bunch by letting him go and drafting LT in the first.

I think Dotson ends up being a 1 in a year or two. McLarin is already a 1. Gonna have two #1 WR pretty soon. Gotta find someone to get it to them.

Logan was good today.

Gotta franchise Payne to keep him away from Atlanta. Hope Allen is okay. Obviously shutting him down, along with Curl, BSJ and AG I'm sure.

They have to draft two linebackers or sign one and draft one. Maybe with the comp 3rd. There is a bunch or really high-end MLBs on the market this year.

The depth in our secondary really killed us. You can't have Curl miss a game and the defense litterally can't function as a unit anymore. Have to add two corners for depth.

Letting DeAndre Carter walk out the door for a ham sandwich was crazy. Ron wanted Erickson because he was a former Panther. He was ass, so they had to role with Milne. That's the shit that's gotta stop. The nepotism.

I guess now you give Howell the ball Sunday and see what he has. Wouldn't surprise me if Heinicke gets the call. After today, they might want one last look at Heinicke to know whether they are gonna bring him back as the #2.

With the sale up in the air, I think Ron might survive this. If not, DeMeco Ryans would sure bring some life and energy to this team. He'd have a lot of toys to play with on the defensive side of the ball. If he can find an OC.

Of course Payton and Fangio, but not sure Payton chooses us. Plus the Saints want a 1st for him.

Richardson from Florida
Carr
Jimmy G (that's who Ron really wanted)

With a loss Sunday, Skins probably move to 11 or 12. That a nice consolation. @duke1861 there was some value missing the playoffs after all. You were right about that. @Breed too. 22 to 11 is major. Chicago at #2 I'm sure will be taking calls. (Stroud?)

Just kinda focusing on the sale of the team now.

Ten points dude. We rushed for over 130 yards. Don’t even mention the defense when your boy throws three picks.

first not my boy. The 2nd half defense didn't do the team any favors. TH's defense gave him 2 turnovers a game and kept the game competitive. Of course, this game is on CW. The 2nd hall defense doesn't get a free pass.

Rivera has damaged more of the roster than we think. The more I read your post, the more that actually became evident. He harmed the roster by bringing in his handpicked players that he was familiar with....not the best talent he could acquire.

The new GM will have to prioritize which positions need to be upgraded immediately, and which will need to wait. This is why I was against the Rivera hire from the start. He literally had no front office experience and was building the plane as he was flying it.

I don't think Snyder fires him as Snyder no longer cares. It has been reported that Tonya and Dan were not even at the game yesterday. Needless to say, Snyder has checked out.

As Skinsdad and I have talked about, the real crime here is that Rivera will be in charge of the offseason and will coach in 2023. He will be a dead man walking and I doubt he puts 100% into the job. He knows he will not be here long-term at all. Snyder's last marching orders could be to not spend any money...who knows. Also, after 3 years, does anyone here really want Rivera making critical decisions for this team? Next year will be a let down unless a miracle occurs and the new GM and coach are in place. I am not sure that is realistic at all.

With Rivera in charge of a 4th offseason and at the helm, I am thinking we get 6-8 wins again.

From Jeff Toliver on the Washington Commander page...

“The saddest part of this is, I am truly hurt by this loss… like CRUSHED!!!! It’s hard to be a Washington fan!!

1. To watch the Vikings sitting at 12-4 with a QB we didn’t want to pay…. And a new HC that was the best OC we’ve had in the past decade that we let walk to the Rams (where he won a Super Bowl btw
‍♂️
). We haven’t found a QB since and I’m furious!!!!

2. To watch every team in our division sitting happy and comfortable as a lock in the playoffs while we sit at home scratching our heads. Every team has improved but us.

3. To try and figure out how we let Trent Williams, Brandon Scherff, Ereck Flowers, and even Morgan Moses walk since 2020 with no intent to keep ANY OF THEM!!!
1f629.png

4. To watch Landon Collins take a Pick-6 to the crib today and be embraced by the Giants fan base
1f92c.png

5. To watch our franchise disrespect Sean Taylor not once, but on multiple occasions
1f92c.png

6. To lose our name, go two seasons without a name, then choose a name no one truly wanted and choose a pig in a soggy jersey as a mascot.
1f92c.png

7. DAN “BLEEPIN” SNYDER
1f92c.png

8. Letting go of Ionnitis and Settle smmfh
1f92c.png

The decision making of this franchise has been outrageous. I want to say to all you true Washington fans, I feel your pain. The organization should be apologizing to us for the way they’ve conducted business with the expectation of continued support…. They should apologize to the players for the constant disarray and scrutiny they’ve had to endure over the years. We are just sad man…”

Agreed with all of this.

It starts with Snyder but Rivera has been an unmitigated disaster on the field. The roster is worse than people think and Rivera has been in complete control.

Rivera has definitely made mistakes as we've all pointed out. I do like the roster more than most. Trusting the season to Norwell and Trai was a gamble that blew up in his face.

I wish I knew what number post it was but when we were all making our predictions for the season I said 7 wins and 10 if the guards hold up. They didn't. Wentz was horrible yesterday. The trade was bad, but this season was lost the minute Ron felt Norwell and Trai were answers.

Solid group of guys in that locker room and I think Ron deserves credit for that, but at the end of the day it's about wins and losses.

What happens over the next three to four months is critical. Dan could pick the next QB. Dan could give marching orders to let Payne walk. We have to get this sale completed ASAP.

Despite three interceptions from Wentz, the Commanders defense limited the damage by only allowing three points off turnovers in the game. On the three drives after Washington turnovers, the Browns only ran 11 plays for 18 total yards.. cant ask more of the defense

2-7-1: Over the past two seasons, Ron Rivera has gone 2-7-1 in games played in December and January. That is not the way to end a season and explains why Washington has missed the playoffs both years.

Carson Wentz on the other hand finished with three interceptions for the Commanders while throwing no touchdowns. Heinicke had three interceptions over his last six games to go along with seven passing touchdowns. So much for that quarterback switch.. he also had 3 fumbles lost (falco)
