After the documents were retrieved from Mar-A-Lago only 21% of Republicans even wanted it to be investigations. This is what the "party of law and order" has been reduced to.

What I said about McCarthy was 100% true. Have you heard the recording on January 7th? He was done with Trump, said so himself Then he gauged the temperature of his REPUBLICAN voters and immediately went from criticizing Donald Trump to being his biggest ass kisser. Why would he do this? Because of the attitude of Republican voters, he was simply saving his job. As we saw with Liz Chaney any Pub who criticizes Cult Leader Trump gets voted out. By Republicans.
Well, you need to stop watching msnbc, they are no better than Fox. But to make an blanket statement that ALL Republicans support his is asinine.

Once upon a time we all got along. Obama the Great Divider and Trump the Great Tweeter .... along with social media changed this. Kind of sad.
It is sad. What’s even worse is that our Fed govt is useless and wasting our money. We have serious issues that need addressing but we are so brainwashed into believing the other side is satan that is all we focus on.

It is so funny that you think you are right. Starting off with your claim that this story has not been all over the news which is complete horseshit. Again it may not appear on your right wing nut media sources because they hide the truth from you but you are flat out wrong, this story has been covered extensively.
I don’t think Dad said the story has not been on the news. I think he said the story of Top Secret documents being taken that threaten national security has not been on the news. There is a difference because words matter.
Next we have your claim that Trump declassified these documents. Do I really need to explain to you again that even if he did declassify them (he told Fox that he could do this by simply thinking it. LMAO) this does not change the content of these highly sensitive documents sitting in a desk drawer. You are obviously just fine with a private citizen lying to the Feds about the return of super sensitive documents. Well real Americans are not fine with this obstruction of justice. .
If the documents were declassified, then he has the right to take them.

You claim they are super-sensitive documents so what exactly were these documents?

Trump’s lawyers had been working with the feds on the return of these documents.

You are not fine simply because it is Trump and you have been told to hate him.
And finally as we all know perfectly well if Obama had done this you would have been all over him, which is why you are so full of shit. What kind of patriot excuses being reckless with Top Secret documents? A shitty American, that's who.
Again with the word top secret. I don’t believe you understand the meaning of the word. A document is no longer Top Secret after it has been declassified.

Quick lesson. Documents defined as classified typically fall under three classifications. Those classifications are confidential, secret, and top secret.

As for your Obama assertion, it is crap. It would depend on the classification of the documents and really if those documents were truly a danger to security.

And the difference between Hillary and Trump is this…Hillary did not have the ability to declassify anything. There are specific rules that were set, she knew the rules, she purposely violated those rules, and then destroyed evidence of the crime.

I never said all. But ask Liz Chaney, who was a Republican institution, what happens when you dare to hold Donald Trump accountable for his actions. How can you explain a man like Dad, a vet, being perfectly OK with a private citizen stealing sensitive documents and then lying about their return? The majority of Republicans feel as he does, there is literally no line Trump can cross to them. Which is where we find ourselves today.

By the way I don't watch MSNBC or CNN, agreed they are as bad as Fox. I don't need those sources to see what's right in front of me. And that is Trump is still coddled and protected by the majority of Republican voters and when a Republican dares to be critical of Trump they lose their job by being voted out. By Republicans.

How can you defend only 21% of the party even wanting stolen top secret documents to be investigated. How can you explain their insistence that an attack out our Capitol to stop our democracy as no big deal, which so many if not the majority of Pubs claim? How can you possible explain why he has a 20 point lead as the favorite to win the GOP nomination even after all of this if not for the majority of Republicans being just as I had described?

the only thing being pulled out of the air is the medias lack of understanding on how classified documents are handled and who classifies them . the so called folders were empty and if they werent why were they leaked ? and again the president classifies documents
It's you who is lacking understanding. The folders were not empty, and if they were that is even more frightening. What happened to the documents? Why did Trump lie and try so hard to conceal that he had them?

Again the Special Master that Trump selected asked for proof of declassification and he was unable to provide it. And again even if they were declassified that does not change the content. Why this means nothing to you is the entire problem, you just don't know what the Hell you are talking about.

I like Desantis too. Hell, I’d vote Howard the Duck as long as he didn’t have a “D” next to his name.

Hey I have no problem with that.. I can't stand DeSantis and his policies, using human beings as political pawns was flat out disgusting. But at least he is not a criminal who lies and steals, pressures election officials into changing the results and all the other shit that comes with Trump. But Trump is still the leader in the clubhouse within the GOP which only shows their moral compass has been replaced by total devotion to a cult leader.

I liked Trump. Sure he had his faults, but policy-wise, he was great.

I’m not defending anybody. I’m calling out posters, like you, who make blanket statements about a group of people with out really understanding who, or what, he/she is talking about.
the fact of the matter is that most of us all want the same things. We want security, health, opportunity, freedom. We just may differ on how to get there. If we started focusing on what we can achieve, and not what we can’t, we might start working again to truly make this country the greatest, IMO, that has ever been. Or we could continue to eat away at each other and end up like Ancient Rome.
but it all begins with us And these stupid lines in the sand we have drawn. Unfortunately, it’s the extremes of each party that have the stage right now. If you, and others, stop perpetuating the myths of those who identify with a party you have been brainwashed into believing are all evil, we might have a chance.

Again I never made a blanket statement about ALL Republicans. If I would venture a guess I'd say you are a Republican who is not a Trump guy and I'm obviously not talking about those people. .

I am simply pointing out that there are so many of them an institution such as Liz Chaney was voted out of office, enough of them that they forced gutless McCarthy to totally change his tune, enough of them that Trump is still the favorite to carry the ticket. You don't need to be "brainwashed" to see all this, it's right in front of you too.

So no I'm not blaming all Republican, But if you can't see how Trump is still carrying party and why I am calling THOSE Republicans out for retaining their support and lashing out at the FBI for simply upholding the law and what they are doing to our country I have no idea what more to say.

As you may have noticed, I have not stated what side of the aisle I favor. Because it makes no difference. Unless we fix what is broken in our govt and we continue to vilify those that see things differently, we are headed to ruin. History tells me this. I
I’m not sure when Party became more Important than Country, but this has to change. The only way it does IMO, is term limits. The Parties hold campaign funding away from those that stray. our Founding fathers never intended for our govt to be ruled by career politicians. Too many have become wealthy at our, and our county’s expense.

And the Democrats have never used people as political pawns? This is what I’m talking about. Folks with weeds in their lawns shouldn’t be talking about how shitty their neighbors lawn looks.

You are going to trot out liz Cheney ? A Rino ? The Jan 6 committee is a farce with everyone voting to impeach him , please. , the president can declassify any document he wants to and there is no evidence he did so after the fact

every president declassifies documents, even Obama when they leave office
