As you may have noticed, I have not stated what side of the aisle I favor. Because it makes no difference. Unless we fix what is broken in our govt and we continue to vilify those that see things differently, we are headed to ruin. History tells me this. I
I’m not sure when Party became more Important than Country, but this has to change. The only way it does IMO, is term limits. The Parties hold campaign funding away from those that stray. our Founding fathers never intended for our govt to be ruled by career politicians. Too many have become wealthy at our, and our county’s expense.

I agree with all of this. But again the Trump Republicans do not, as we are seeing with the examples I have uses. I'll give Trump credit for one thing, he could in fact shoot a man and retain their support. Which of course is all we need to know about his supporters. They don't want unity, they continue to attack the other side and attack the FBI for simply doing their job. Those are the people who have chosen party over country and again those are the people I have been addressing.

As I said I was fine is someone wanted to support DeSantis, a candidate I am very much opposed to his political positions. But I will never ever stop vilifying those who continue to make excuses for Trump and continue to support him after all he has done to our country. And again this is the vast majority of the Republican voters.

I think your error is way overestimating the support for trump by conservatives. The mid terms proved that. His “candidates “ lost more than they won. Reasonable people have grown tired of him and his antics.

In fact, the DNC should be his biggest donor. He somehow wins the nomination, and the dems win the white house by record numbers. Bet on it.

Again I never made a blanket statement about ALL Republicans. If I would venture a guess I'd say you are a Republican who is not a Trump guy and I'm obviously not talking about those people. .

I am simply pointing out that there are so many of them an institution such as Liz Chaney was voted out of office, enough of them that they forced gutless McCarthy to totally change his tune, enough of them that Trump is still the favorite to carry the ticket. You are right, what was I thinking? Obviously we should simply allow former Presidents who are now private citizens to steal top secret documents (something Trump has never denied but I guess that does not matter to you). and never hold an investigation because that will make him look bad. We'll just let this slide and not hold him accountable to the law after sending people who did far less to jail for years. We'll just pretend protecting our national security is a dumb idea so we don't make Trump look bad to the voters.
