Not so elite, since he only made 4 total? Nuggets shot just as poorly from 3 as the Lakers did.

Lakers should be setting up Reaves and Ryan more. Pissed me off to see Ryan come in during the 4th push, make a 3, then not get another attempt until garbage time as Lebron was trying to take over.

If lakers want to make anything of their season they will need to pull the trigger on one of these trades very soon because this roster is not it
This "starting 0-4" nonsense is silly. When did an early season 4 game losing streak ever prevent playoffs as a possibility lol? 9 of their first 11 games are against potential West playoff teams, of course the record won't be great early. The team is still learning how to play again, a big issue with shuffling so much of the roster from year to year. The 3 point shooting is atrocious, but that will regress back to the mean and be more respectable even without roster changes.

Holy shit this team is garbage. I mean even lookung at it on paper it sucks. Their depth sucks

Of course the depth will suffer. They're over the cap with just Lebron/AD/Westbrook. That means bargain hunting during the offseason. They bought an early second rounder (Christie), got Bryant and Schroder on the cheap (both currently out with similar thumb injuries), traded for Bev and used their 6.5M MLE on Walker (intriguing thus far).

Funny that Bryant and Schroder have thumb injuries, since most of the roster is all thumbs shooting from 3 so far. Historically terrible, but players will rise back close to their historical averages as the season progresses.

Banchero is what Jabari Parker SHOULD’VE been, without any major injuries.

Wagner is a BEAST!

Wtf happened to Suggs?

If ole’ Vicky boy is added to that core, then look out! Of course you could say that with any young core because Vicky boy is a FREAK and shouldn’t be allowed to play in the NBA because he’s some kind of alien.

That is an unnecessary shot at Banchero. Jabari was always a flawed prospect that was allergic to defense.

It’s not bc of the 0-4 start, it’s bc of the shit roster. They need to make a move if they want to even compete for a play-in game

This roster isn't going to make the playoffs. If we are being real, everyone is a potential playoffs team except orlando, detroit, indy, rockets, thunder, spurs, and jazz so that's a really stupid statement. Most of your games will be against possible playoffs teams

Mitchell is cold thus far and for whatever reason the Magic have kind of owned the Cavs their last few meetings........not gonna be an easy game that most people though it would be.

I think MObley missing most of the preseason is holding him back a bit too. He looks a little out of it thus far this season offensively.
Likely already mentioned - and, sure, was a winless Orlando team - but good to see we could win without Garland and poor shooting nights from Mitchell, Lavert and Love.

Man was Allen (and Mobley) outstanding in 2nd half.

Finally got a chance to watch the Sixers and they have some real issues. Tobias Harris doesn’t fit and PJ Tucker is straight cooked. Siakam is just eating him up tonight. Not even sure Doc getting fired is gonna right this ship. They need to trade Harris for a shooter. He can’t play the 3. Tucker needs to come off the bench. Harris needs to start at the 4 and they need to find somebody else to play the 3. I don’t see this team being anything better than a 6 seed. @dtgold88 I’m owning my bull shit. Cavs will finish higher than the Sixers in the East this year.
I can respect that......or it's a double secret reverse jinx (which I can respect, as well).

Fun with numbers. Lakers edition.

the good- LeBron scored double digits for the 1,100 consecutive game, all time record (2nd place is MJ with 866)

the bad- the Lakers in general, 0-4 (who doesn't like that? :heh:)

the ugly- Lakers long distance shooting. Through four games: 32-147 (.218)

And something Richard Jefferson said last night. The Lakers have surrounded LeBron & AD with players that can't shoot.

Now the question is how long before LeBron's blamed for the Lakers current roster?

My Lakers motto- if it's broke don't fix it!

In just rooting for Doc to get fired. It’s not like this is some unsolvable puzzle. There’s talent and role players that can be employed but Doc is stale and out of his league here. The answer lies in staggering the 4 scorers in Harden Maxey Embiid and Harris. Personally, I would pair Maxey/Embiid and Harden Harris. I don’t play 30 minutes a night with all 4 on the floor. Too much force feeding of fit in this dynamic.

their depth is so bad its ridiculous.

I just cant fathom how bad Pelinka is.

Walker Jr., Reeves, Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones, Patrick Beverly are your role players? Its so bad. There has not been one guy they have developed in 3-4 years that they can rely on for real minutes. There has not been any cheap free agent beside Monk that they brought in that over-achieved and gave them something to depend on.

Bryant and Schroder are currently out but should be back in a month. Both were bargains as free agents. Walker has played pretty well and seems to be the continuation player for Monk thus far. Bev is still a solid defender and his shooting will pick up. Reaves and T-A are the definition of role players that don't need the ball to be effective. Jones hasn't shown much yet. Torching them for not over-achieving in a whopping 4 games is a silly take.

The Westbrook trade stripped them of depth and assets, notably Kuzma and KCP. Had they settled on Kuzma/Harrell for Buddy, keeping KCP and hopefully Caruso, things would be very different. All signs point to Westbrook. The trade hurt, his play has hurt, and any delay in dumping him continues to hurt.

They were harping on the possibility of starting 0-4 throughout last night's game. Everyone knows they need to make a move, it's just a matter of how long it takes to get a deal that makes sense both now and in the future (if the picks are involved as expected).

without some kind of deal - what teams are they better than in the West?

Kings, Rockets, Thunder, Spurs, Jazz are the only ones I would feel fairly comfortable betting on having a worse record if they dont make any moves.

At some point- A soon to be 38 year old LeBron, and Street Clothes will miss some games. On those nights- when they are missing one of those guys- they are going to be just overmatched.

Cavs have missed Garland for the last 3 games--- but could still bring Cedi, Love, Osman, off the bench. STill have a guy like LeVert who is like their 6th best guy.

lakers just have nothing outside of LeBron and Davis that can be counted on to be dependable NBA players. Its crazy.
Only a couple games but also like how Neto has played since the opener. Though even he may not get much time after Rubio returns, assuming he does.
