It's not nothing, and it is a problem that needs to be handled, but it's not the end of Western civilization like some are making it out to be.

No, YOU are overreacting. You are taking this way too emotionally.

If they suspend him more than a day or two then they will also be overreacting. There may not even need to be one. What matters is internal and we won't see it: what do they say to each other, what does the team say to them, what do the FO and coaches say.

You're dealing with 2022 optics though. On top of that no videos have been released like this which makes the situation worse. Sure as hardcore basketball fans we know this type of stuff happens all the time. But to the general public this looks incredibly bad (and it is).

If you're the Warriors organization you need to show that no one is above reproach in how they act on this team. They let Draymond walk a fine line, but he crossed it. As such there are repercussions. The Warriors suspended Draymond for calling KD a bitch. I can't believe there would be a lesser punishment for him basically sucker punching Poole, after initiating the altercation.

What is yet to be determined is when they will suspend him. Can't do it game 1 right? It's ring night.

In my experience people don't usually just go "hey man, let's fight" and then each take their time to set themselves up before throwing. Sucker punches are usually the initiator of the fights, but they don't connect as well as this one did.

Maybe this isn't normal, but most fights I've seen didn't start with a sucker punch.
Usually, there is some verbal challenge or a raising of fists to indicate intentions, but maybe there was a verbal challenge here and we just don't know about it yet.

Anyway, these are guys getting paid (or soon to be paid) millions and millions of dollars because they are worth millions and millions of dollars. The Warriors need to get a handle on this before they sabotage themselves. I still hope the Warriors can find a way to offload Dray, but they probably can't. I just think that he will continue to repeat bad behavior.
