He is going to be a bigger deal than Lebron was coming into the league.

Honestly?

That isn’t possible.

LeBron was hyped for years before he got to the league.

As great a prospect as Vic is, it is already too late for him to be a bigger deal than LeBron as a prospect.

I was there for it all, the next year with this guy will be bigger than all that. It’s just starting.

I think you forget how big LeBron was.

He was the driving force that caused ESPN to start televising high school games.

He was “the chosen 1” from the time he was in 9th grade.

Vic will get a lot of hype this year, and deservedly so. But LeBron got that much hype in an era before watching high school age prospects was really a thing.

You tried presenting your opinion as a fact.

The fact is that your opinion has no evidence or facts to base it on. In fact, the current facts work against your opinion.

Btw, that also makes my statement not a strawman.

I'm not sure how you're confusing statements of opinion as statements of fact, but I'm sorry. I didn't know that a poster is supposed to state that an opinion about a team's future is an opinion and not a fact, but I'll try to do that moving forward.

Ok, sounds like you are probably right on that.

Yet still, I don’t see Kerr or anyone else saying they are done with Draymond.

Of course, they wouldn’t say that even if they were, because they are smarter than that, but still.

Also, I don't think anyone stated whether Draymond was right or wrong in this instance. Just talked about his role on the team and pushing back against the idea that they are better off without him.

And this punk wants big money while he is declining dramatically. More motivation to let him walk

4 year extension at the max salary. I'm sure every team is ready to offer him the max. I hope there is one team out there that isn't Golden State.

You stated that they are better off without him.

Speaking on a teams future, you can back your opinion with fact/evidence. What facts or evidence do you have to back your opinion?

I've stated numerous reasons why I think they are better off without him moving forward. It's all over this thread and I don't need to repeat everything here, but I'll remind you of the fact that Dray punched Poole. And there is also strong evidence to suggest that he used the media yesterday to attack Poole.

Meh, of course he wants that. It's what he's entitled to per the CBA.

Doesn't mean he's going to get it. My guess is that if he is serious about it and doesn't come to his senses, the Warriors will let him find out that other teams won't offer him anything close to that and he'll sign for something more reasonable. That's also assuming that he hasn't fallen off a cliff skills wise and the Warriors actually still want him.

As @tlance and @msgkings322 have pointed out, as soon as his skills no longer justify his leadership style, the Warriors will move on from him.

Just watch, this guy is KD cloned with Giannis, and add some more stuff in.

I can't imagine any player ever getting the hype LeBron got.

He was getting hyped as a freshman if I remember correctly.

The Warriors are very likely stuck with him for 2 years. Before then, I don't think they really have the option of moving on from him.

And none of that is evidence that backs your claim. He was an important part of a team that just won a title last year. That is evidence that supports the Warriors not being better off without him.

That could change of course. If his play this season shows that he's washed, then you'll end up bring right. But until then, the most recent evidence works against your opinion.

It's kind of like Lebron...every year some folks say this is the year he's done, then he goes out and plays at an all-star level. If he keeps playing, those folks will eventually be right. But until then... lol

lol

If he has 2 years left, he needs to shut the hell up about his contract and hope he can play well enough that they still want him at all when this one is up.

The closest I can think of might be Magic Johnson who was given the nickname Magic while still in high school. But the NBA wasn't nearly as popular then as when Lebron came into the league and there wasn't as much sports coverage.

The only other athlete that I can think of that may have gotten anywhere close is Bryce Harper.

Draymond is aging. Draymond is not LeBron.

Kerr benched him in Game 4 of the Finals.

Draymond stated that he wants to miss Warriors games to see LeBron break Kareem's scoring record.

Draymond punched a teammate. He is facing discipline.

An article came out yesterday that Jordan Poole has an attitude problem this year. Steve Kerr, Curry, and Andre Iguodala strongly refuted it. They said it was completely false. Either Chris Haynes, the author of the article, completely made it up or there was a source. If there is a source, who is the likely source?
