I would put Burke in as the closer. I have never been a Leclerc fan and Hernandez is not who I want at the back end of games.
Agree. How many positions players can you have. Some are so bottlenecked at their positions they will never play for the Rangers on a full time basis. At this point the FO needs to be ready to go bat crap crazy signing and trading for relievers as well as starting pitching
We need to sign a closer at some point.Leclerc did well to get us out of a jam but we sure need guys at the end of games who can throw strikes consistently.
If they want to see what Solak has, they are going to give him regular playing time and I don’t see that happening.I think, like with Steele Walker, they are close to cutting ties with him, but want to take a look see first. Solak has gone down and done well so maybe they want one more look. They kind of did that with Taveras. He had failed up here more than once and they gave him another look.
If that is not the case, then questioning the direction of the club is even more warranted, I would think.
That is an indictment on our FO ability or desire to acquire proper bullpen pieces. I imagine Gray and Perez would make good relievers too.We definitely don't need to take our best reliever and make him a starter
I had almost decided that Blaine Crim would not need to be protected, but he had a fabulous August and started off September with his 19th HR. I would protect him as well.I will make my own predictions but I may just wait until the last day of regular season
I think they may have all but given up on him and maybe simply going through the motions bringing him up. If someone slumps badly and he gets to play a couple of times and hits fantastic he may get an extended look. What are the chances of that though. He could also find himself DFAed in a couple of weeks. If they want to see what Solak has, they are going to give him regular playing time and I don’t see that happening.

Most likely will but all he could do was play the cards he has been dealt.........jokers.I know the FO is going to evaluate things on an overall basis, but last night's game probably hurt Beasley's retention chances a little.
His control is garbage.Hernandez had given up only 3 runs in 15 appearances. Obviously a horrible outing so let’s see if he bounces back.
His control is garbage.
Did anybody? It was last night for sure. He had no idea where any of his pitches were going.
Did anybody?
