If KD is still a Net by February I'd be surprised.

This shit never really goes away.
Yeah....let's see how 3 headcases play together....all 3 have their mental issues....early in the season to mid season Marks could lower his demands and trade KD and Irving, maybe all 3.

The guy has 4 years left on his deal.

It was either go back and make it work.

Go back and make it untenable.

Go into retirement.

That's it.
I think if it doesn't start well....as much as he loves the game....I could see him saying I ain't playing, trade me.

Everyone said that this summer.

It went to shit, he demanded a trade, demanded the Coach and GM get fired and he's still there.

We all need to come to grips with the fact that most of these guys are all bluster.

Durant has little leverage with 4 years remaining and won't be traded unless the Nets get decent value.

If they implode, I can see the Nets getting rid.of all 3 of their max players.

But, the price has to be right.

Nobody wants Simmons for more than pesos on the dollar.

If he and Kyrie play well, maybe their value gets restored?

They could easily flip Simmons for a few firsts and basically reset like it was 2019 again minus Allen. That was the mistake

I said maybe on Simmons....I think he could be the guy they keep since he is young.

So, I dunno how far the asking price drops.

Short of a on court fist fight, how much worse can it get?

Threats of retirement, rumors about sitting out and taking the mid level....

We have already seen both Kyrie and Kevin buckle when the Nets called their bluff.

Flip Simmons for two 1st now or after he plays?

I will never understand that Allen trade.

Great move for the Cavs though.

Yesh.

He's not a guy you build around.

To fragile mentally and compromised physically.

Dudes don't usually have back surgery just to avoid playing.

So, I think he had a legit issue there.

Backs don't usually get stronger as you age.

This is all Minnesota's fault. They paid that absurd price for Rudy Gobert and it blew up the market for everyone else. /halfsarcasm
100% agree.

But, the lowball offers being tossed the Nets way were rather insulting.

Memphis: Yeah, we are interested in Durant. But, you can't have any of our top 3 guys.

No Ja, Jackson, Bane.

But, we can send you Brooks and a few picks!!!!

Fuck outta here...lol

Well, the only thing that came out of the KD stuff is that the Celtics were willing to ship out Jaylon Brown.

Oh, no....

If they get off to a slow start, have a major injury?

They could implode by the deadline.

The only things they have working in their favor are:

1. Its a contract year for Kyrie. So, he might behave.

2. They improved their roster

3. The hope that Durant loves basketball more than he hates the Nets.

The biggest con?

They have a Porsche 911 roster and the equivalent of a 15 year old with his learners permit behind the wheel.

Just because you are great at Mario Cart doesn't make you qualified to drive Nascar.

Nash is a shit coach.
Obviously those things make things different. I just honestly think Nash’s inability to coach is going to torch shit instantly.

Absolutely.

The Nets were doomed the moment D'antoni quit.

With their lack of defensive players, Trigger Mike would actually be a great fit for this roster.

Atkinson was fine

I'm always here for the Lakers slander.

But, with all the conflicting reports out there, did people expect them to move on before they were sure a deal was dead?

Come on...

For all his.flaws, it's Kyrie irving.

Now, I think it's absurd IF they are gaslighting their fans by making them think they have a shot at acquiring guys like Mitchell when they have nothing outside of Davis to offer.

But, waiting for a Kyrie resolution was prudent....imo

Horrible take imo

He needs to shut up sometimes.

He still doesn't get that his antics overshadow what he does on the court sometimes.

Big heart, regressing skills, oft-injured.

Can’t blame them.

KD trade package should be salary filler plus a ton of picks.

Unrealistic for the Nets to expect win now players + a ton of picks.

The team acquiring KD needs those win now players or else there is no point in making the move.

Also, KD’s age and injury history hamper his value greatly.

Yeah, it's been crazy. Literally yesterday morning it is reported that the the Nets don't trust Kyrie...now this morning, everybody wants to give it a shot.

At least maybe now the Lakers can move on and work towards one of the other rumored trades.

I really think the Lakers should run it back with what they got. Give corner 3Russ a chance.
