Crazy or not so crazy strategy?

Personal feelings aside, i think Pickett is a risky pick. Youre assuming he eventually takes over. Youre assuming he performs better than most rookies would. The better choice woukd have been to go after another starter. Especially in this type of league.

Ohh, I'm commenting strictly towards whether he takes over as the starter or not. I have zero comments other than "good luck" as to how he'll produce once he does take over.. but as a #3, in a 2 QB league, a warm, active body, is sometimes as good as it gets

I am on the fence about Trubs/Pickett. I think Pickett will be a bust honestly but that doesn't mean he won't get his chance if Trubs is not solid but I think Trubs is solid, he's better than Pickett. I just think it's not the QB situation you want to be debating over in fantasy but I do realize this is a 2 QB league.

I probably go another QB over Pickett for QB3 and same for Murray at QB2. I take Herbert, Dak, Stafford and even Rodgers over Murray

Either way he has a top 2 starting QB situation regardless imo.

Yeah there is 7 QBs I'd would of took ahead of Murray. Pickett was a value pick at round 15 and are QBs like Lock, Mariota, Daniel Jones any safer? Maybe....I'm not sure TBH and some went much earlier.

Yeah less importance on the Pickett pick than the Murray pick, I thought that was a reach as well.

So all my mocking lead up to my $ league live draft yesterday. I did go QB, QB with my 1st 2 picks so I'm strong there. Overall I will be competitive and I believe I'm a top 3 team post-draft. I'm sure most of you will question my pick of Pickett as my QB3 but I strongly believe Trubisky will not hold him off. Even If he doesn't start the season I believe he will be the starter sooner rather than later.

Being a stickler, I’d say you missed a chance to grab Hopkins instead of the Titans rookie. A nice stack for Murray.

But looks pretty solid.

I’d prefer a more guaranteed QB3.

Leading up to this draft, it was commented on numerous times, because of the ridiculous QB scoring to focus on QB.
I think its great he got Allen & LJax. But in their bye weeks, if Pickett is not starting or is playing just like most rookie QB (which is horrible), i think Z will be regretting he didnt focus on a more productive starting QB3 earlier than round 15, or he could be looking at 2 losses on those respective bye weeks.

One team has no one for a 3rd QB

You need good players across the board for starters, so IDK if you should start taking bench players ahead of starters just to have a quality back up at QB Joe. The other teams 3rd string QB sure doesn't make me feel they are more secure. However this is about a rookie vs a vet for you, you always want the vet.

Heck Goff, had more completions than Lamar Jackson (246) who is his QB2.

oh I don't disagree with any of that..I'd prefer a more stable option as well. My only commentary was that he'll eventually be starting over Trubs..period. Not when, not how good he will or won't be, just that I think he'll subplant him at some point.

Yep that is grounds for a redraft. You can't spring that on people, especially paying money, after the draft. Changes your strategy completely.
