I don’t see anything wrong with what he said.

This isn’t dirty laundry, it is an opinion based off of Russ’ very public negative trade value. Seems to me he is trying to help. Russ just doesn’t want to hear what he is trying to say.

What the agent is saying is correct though.

Mecca, you asked a couple days ago what team Russ could actually start for. Ironically, the Lakers are 1 that would provide him with a large role. It just isn’t the role he wants to play.
Maybe I’m wrong but this was a public release after he was fired by RW right? This agent has a business and a reputation. His press release is designed to save his rep. He wants to establish that he has assessed the market right and provided his client with the best advice regardless of whether he wants to hear it or not.

I do.

We all know this to be true.

But, the guy has been shit on enough publicly.

The agents statement is self serving.

Westbrook is a grown ass man.

So, I'm sure he can take it.

Still, he hasn't committed a crime, he just isn't good at basketball anymore.

I don't see the point of heaping on more public humiliation by saying this shit out loud.

There may be a layer of pride that is seeping in for the agent. I don’t think that factor can be dismissed. But at the same time, as the Mafia would say, it’s not personal, it’s business. When a player drops an agent, the agent or agency has to circle the wagons and defend their rep.

My guy, what's going on with Westbrook?

Something is happening.

Apparently his agent said his best bet is to stay with the Lakers and Russ is like hell no.

Buyout?

if the Lakers buy him out- he still counts against the cap.

they would be totally fucked for this year. I mean- LeBron, Davis- and what they have on the roster is simply not good enough to make noise.

They need to trade Westbrook in an Irving deal or possibly a Turner/Hield deal.

Turner/Hield for RW would let the Pacers bottom out and basically clear their cap for next year- they would obviously need picks to do the deal though.

For 1 year- id rather have Turner and Hield--- the thing with Kyrie is you are getting his Bird Rights if you trade for him.

Davis likes playing with a real center. Trading for a very good defensive center that can finish a little bit in Turner would be huge for the Lakers. Honestly- it would probably go a long way to giving Davis a better chance to stay healthy- not making him pound in the middle with a legit center next to him. Hield of course is one of the best volume 3 pt. shooters in the league.

Its just a crazy question. I think Turner and Hield are better for the Lakers--- but Irving gives them a higher ceiling- and gives them a better chance to sign LeBron.

And if LeBron leaves - do you really want to give up those 2 future picks to build around Hield, Turner and Davis?

I do not envy Jeannie Buss and Pelinka and their overlords the Rambi- the decisions that have to be made.

They could also trade RW in a Jazz/Knicks 3 way and get a pupuplatter of respectable players

I have two black and white shih tzus. They are great little friends--well one of them is, the other is kind of a spoiled bitch if I am being honest.

Unfortunately the "good one" nearly lost an eye a couple years ago. His eyeball ruptured after somehow getting poked, which was pretty horrific to see, and we had to take him in for an emergency surgery. We thought he would be blind but amazingly they saved the eye. He has a scar but at least he can see. We still jokingly call him One Eyed now. With this breed, their eyes jut out so much they are very prone to eye injuries.

Penny lived with us in MT because Charcy was in the Marines and the barracks.....we drove her to Camp Lejeune, NC in March I think it was. Once she got married and moved into her own little duplex with Moises.

Happy she's back for about 9 days. My "pardner." We're the only 2 awake I think.

Who knows?

Russ is kind of a dick himself because his agent is right and he doesn't want to hear it.

But no reason for his agent to be airing dirty laundry publicly like that.
This.

He was super sensitive with the media in his first Laker season. Him and KD are little bitches and get triggered easily.

Harden must smoke the Devils lettuce and just chill at the strip club but I have never seen him react like the other 2.

My dad had 2. Patches died about 1 year after my mom. Pancreatic cancer got my mom and Pancreatitis got Patches.

Checkers is still alive at 14. Dad says it takes about 3 times as long for his 3x a day walks but Checky still loves them.

With one summer league game left I’m pretty pleased with some Sixers. Trevelin Queen looks like a sly under the radar pick. He looks like another wing that can get in the rotation for 8-12 minutes a game. This is valuable because it’s likely that Thybulle Niang or Korkmaz will go in some sort of trade. BBall Paul only played in Utah but he did what you would want him to do. He was a man amongst boys in summer league. Feel pretty good about him as the back up 5 to Embiid. They also fooled around with him playing some 4. I’ve been hoping they would give him some run and develop some groups with him on the floor with Embiid. I think he should be a 20 minute a game guy and you can’t get him those minutes if he can only play the 5. He’s under sized as a 5 anyway. Isiah Joe is an enigma. He looks like he belongs every summer and could be a bench piece > Milton, Korkmaz, Niang, etc…because he is a solid defender. This is a big summer for him to try and claw out a rotation spot. He’s like a lot of these young guys who suffer under Doc because he doesn’t trust young players. It seems every time he gets minutes he plays scared to make mistake with an eye on the bench for when he’s going to get pulled. Grant Riller finally got some minutes last night and for me he looks like the best candidate for their second two way to be the G League depth guard if they have an injury to Melton Harden or Maxey.

It hasn’t been sexy with huge names being bandied about but the Sixers have had arguably their best summer in some time. They have their Big 3 in Embiid Harden and Maxey and now they’ve rounded the depth into form with an eye on proper roster construction around these guys. They needed some attention to:
1. Two way players
2. Developing a snarl and an attitude
3. Guys who have a willingness to dig on the floor for loose balls

The only move I still covet is a big one. I want a 3 and D SF that can come back in a Tobias Harris move. Harris is a pro and he would play the 3 but it’s not ideal for him or the Sixers. Still have dreams of a Harrison Barnes deal.

Edit: would also add that Jaden Springer needs another year in the G League. His defense is NBA ready but he needs work on his handle and his shot is fugly.

Bro, I’ve been on the BBall Paul train since he was drafted and I watched You Tube of him at DePaul the next day. He’s the perfect NBA bench player. Provides energy and hustle and he has a dominant NBA skill in his work on the offensive glass. Sixers without Embiid on the floor needs to be Harden or Maxey pick and roll with BBall Paul as the roller catching lobs and 3 spot up shooters spaced around them.

That would be hilarious. Knicks finally get bron 15 years after they initially thought they would with 1 season left in his career most likely lol
and Mavs would be sitting back laughing at Brunson who would find himself reduced to irreverence

I am a big B Ball Paul guy and was infuriated when Doc Rivers kept playing a washed Deandre Jordan last season instead of giving the kid a shot. He has his ups and downs but is the definition of "energy guy off the bench".

Not sure how that would be funny as a mavs fan. A knicks team of brunson, barrett, bron, and possibly mitchell/ Randle is better than dallas who clearly doesn't give a shit about helping luka
