People are going to see the header and run with it.

They wont even bother to listen to the audio.

He said that rumor is not being discussed.

But, people say in theory, if the Jazz want to bottom out for picks, maybe they will be open to Westbrook.

Did you see this one?

Look at the writers bio....lmao

They are 20 minutes away. Exhausted apparently. So we can all chit chat really briefly and then all go to bed.

Good.

My guy, what's going on with Westbrook?

Something is happening.

Apparently his agent said his best bet is to stay with the Lakers and Russ is like hell no.

Buyout?

:noidea:

This is getting really weird.

Dude...

His agent is a dick....

Why say all this?

"Each time, teams gave up valuable players and assets to acquire Russell - and each time, a new organization embraced his arrival. We did it together with grace and class.

"Now, with a possibility of a fourth trade in four years, the marketplace is telling the Lakers they must add additional value with Russell in any trade scenario. And even then, such a trade may require Russell to immediately move on from the new team via buyout.

"My belief is that this type of transaction only serves to diminish Russell's value and his best option is to stay with the Lakers, embrace the starting role and support that Darvin Ham publicly offered. Russell is a first-ballot Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame player and will prove that again before he is retired.

"Unfortunately, irreconcilable differences exist as to his best pathway forward and we are no longer working together. I wish Russell and his family the very best."

Who knows?

Russ is kind of a dick himself because his agent is right and he doesn't want to hear it.

But no reason for his agent to be airing dirty laundry publicly like that.

Would Russ let his pride make him walkl away from that 47 mil?

That would be a gift from heaven....lol

I feel sorry for this guy.

His agent didn't need to put that out there.

We all knew this was the case, nobody wants him at this price.

But, damn....

Let the man keep some of his dignity.

I can't imagine anyone having that much pride. lol

But, when you consider the money he's made over his career, if he's been smart, not getting that money isn't going to effect his lifestyle.

But, rich folks don't stay rich by turning down large sums of money.

The agent going public is part of what makes this so weird. During the season, I was giving Russ credit for trying to fit.

Turns out, I was wrong. Stories have been coming out about what a cancer he was.

I think something went really sideways last year that we don't know about yet.

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said.

This isn’t dirty laundry, it is an opinion based off of Russ’ very public negative trade value. Seems to me he is trying to help. Russ just doesn’t want to hear what he is trying to say.

What the agent is saying is correct though.

Mecca, you asked a couple days ago what team Russ could actually start for. Ironically, the Lakers are 1 that would provide him with a large role. It just isn’t the role he wants to play.

Everyone but Russ sees the writing on the wall
