Package Harris and Thybulle. Green is getting old. Not sure what you can get for that package or Thybulle alone though, that’s the issue but as long as the fit is better…it doesn’t matter if they downgrade. In today’s NBA if you have a great defender like Thybulle he either better have a 3 point shot or it better be a big man. The Cavs could have the same issue with Okoro if he doesn’t see more improvement this year.
Okoro is a good comparison but at 21 Okoro still has time to develop that offense. Thybulle is already 25 with 3 full years in the league now and 4 years in college when everybody that worked with him counsel he develop that game. For me, clock ran out on him for Sixers. Flaking out on Vaccine and it resulting in woe is me instead of an I’ll show you pick up of play response was it for me. Bye

Unless he rebounds next season....I am just playing devil's advocate today

I think he will. Maybe not prime Houston Harden but regains his burst and is 85-90% of that guy.

Based on what?

He is getting older and he does not work hard on conditioning his body.

That burst isn’t coming back.

He has had a nagging hammy injury.

Doc to the Lakers still a possibility. Looks like they may be holding on to him for now in the hopes that the Lakers will give up something to get Doc.

If he had the conditioning Lebron has we wouldn’t be talking about this right now bc the Sixers would be in the EFC’s

I think it's in doubt if they pay him if he doesn't improve upon his play with a better hammy.

If this is him going forward? You pay somebody over 200 mill to be a 3rd option as a glorified PG?

Morey does that and he could be out of a job within a year or so of him approving that.

Morey going to get canned either way if this whole Simmons move doesn't work.

Thus far he completely botched it. We will see how it goes from there.

In hindsight it’s clear that he turned Harden into his white whale. He only had eyes for a Harden trade and the rest of it was just smoke. I still think the Sixers would be in better shape right now with more roster flexibility and opportunities to tweak if they made the Halliburton centered deal. Halliburton isn’t sexy but he would have taken Maxey off the ball and he can defend his position unlike Harden. Normally, I would back off on one of those hindsight things but I was talking Halliburton in the Simmons thread for a long time prior to the Harden deal.

Yep. You definitely wanted Haliburton

Well, it's not like the Nets have won it so far.....

It's separate of what the Nets did or didn't get. Morey had better offers out there that he passed on because he's in love with James Harden.

Is the Harden Simmons trade the biggest lose lose trade in history? Something to ponder as I play poker today.

I don't think the Nets lost, other than in the very short term. They got Curry and 2 1sts out of the deal, and if they decide to move on from Simmons he still has trade value.

Good luck trading quitter Harden and his likely outlandish contract demands.

Might be best if Harden goes to a losing team. He could get his money, stats and the team gets a name guy to sell tickets.

Which losing team has the best strip clubs in the surrounding area? The Rockets probably won't take him back. Is Orlando close enough to Miami lol?
