Believe it or not, a #41 ranking is quite warm and fuzzy compared to what one of my Twitter buddies here in NWI said about LaMelo the day Borrego got fired. He calls him a glorified D’Angelo Russell… Time will tell when the next rankings come out if your current stance on Ball is justified.

If you want to live in your Warriors bubble and label Draymond a “basketball savant” then that’s on you. Others like myself who live in different parts of the country have a different approach.

I’ve spent the last couple days in Lansing, Michigan on a minor league baseball trip, so Draymond has been on the mind for other reasons beyond what’s been going on this board.

As someone that blogs young athletes you can imagine I’d be extra sensitive about him flipping off a full stadium of fans with kids present. Are we REALLY going to send the message to our youth that this behavior is OK???

A 25K fine for that was a slap on the hand (not the wrist), literally a high five. He should have been SUSPENDED for a game. Hold his team accountable for enabling that behavior…
Holy shit what a church lady bitchfest LOL

This is way too much.

First off, I don’t think anyone is saying Draymond Green is an ideal role model. Of course he isn’t. Neither was Barkley. Hence the comparison.

But saying he should be suspended from a playoff game for flipping off fans who were cheering when he got injured?

Hell no.

Where is the accountability for the fans?

Dray’s response wasn’t good and he got fined accordingly. But if we are talking about who the bad people in this are, it is the fans cheering because a player got injured.

Don't forget, you're talking to someone who not only wished a career ending injury on a player who had the audacity to leave one of his teams, but then defended it for years.

Wow forgot about this. Yeah I'm just not engaging anymore. Pointless really.

They have evolved, Dray does less of the stuff that Barkley did. That's my point, what you call some irredeemable thug is a pale echo of the Chuckster, back in the day. Brace yourself dude, Dray gonna be all over the NBA after he's done playing. Just like Chuck.
We'll see. Don't think I'll have any problem paying extra for League Pass.

A for effort.

My biggest reservation is that ranking a 34-year-old KD as the game’s second-best player is quite generous. The guy is the biggest sellout in the game today and likely league history as well. The media wanted him to be like LeBron and form a superteam in GS, so he did. The media wanted him in the NYC market, so he signed with Brooklyn at a time the Knicks were a dumpster fire. The media wanted him to team with Kyrie Irving, so he did. You get the idea…

The hope is that Brooklyn could get back into title contention with full healthy seasons of Kyrie and Ben Simmons, but at his age I’m just not confident that KD himself can stay healthy during the course of the season. Even his coach said he had to be tired during their first round sweep.

Among others:
  • Jaylen Brown over Butler, really? I hate JimMe as much as anyone, but that one is criminal.
  • I know you’re a JJJ fanboy and I don’t blame you for it, but he’s ultimately too foul prone/inconsistent to approach my list.
  • The reason I had Gobert as low as I did on my list is because he got exposed to extraordinary levels against Dallas. Ayton is the better player right now had the Suns properly used him in their series.
  • McCollum is asininely low. He came in and changed the culture in NO and with good shooting efficiency.
  • For his low standards, Ben Simmons is too high. He was #48 on my list and that was before he underwent back surgery. You just don’t know how and if he’ll be able to fully recover.

I don't regret Harden at #14 and one spot ahead of Butler.

Harden, knowing he's approaching his mid-30's, took a lesser market value deal for the good of his team.

Yet, which of the two players is the more-known one for being selfish?

James Harden is unequivocally a lot more selfish than Jimmy Butler.

LOL.

Did he take less money?

Kind of.

For 1 year.

He isn’t a max player anymore. So getting 2 years with what he got may be a good deal for him.
