I know some really great parents whose kids have made some messed up choices.

You can guide them and instill morals and values. But at the end of the day, the kid still makes his/her own choices. And sometimes they do really stupid shit.

Nobody here knows if she is a bad parent or not based on 1 incident.

We teach them right from wrong, to think for themselves and not cave in to peer pressure, etc.
