LMAO...

Bron and KD mock Harden as the last pick in the All Star Draft...

Are we even sure that Harden is gonna be able to play in the AS game... ?

What with the hamstring injury, and all.

In a hypothetical series between the Nets and Sixers what Drummond could do is be physical with Embiid and just wear him down some. So late in games/later in the series, Embiid maybe isn't quite as fresh. Basically it would be the difference between Embiid going up against some resistance vs. no resistance.

Obviously, Embiid is a far better player, but Drummond at least can make him work some to get his points.
Nets best cover for Joel Embiid is actually Ben Simmons in my opinion.

That isn’t true.

His percentage at the rim is in the top quartile of the league.

I would stop short of calling him an elite finisher, but he is a good finisher.
If you watched him 75 times a season, you’d have a different opinion. Another piece of this is his foul shooting which translates to him having a reluctance to go to the rim to finish.

how is the typical Philly fan feeling?

are they happy with this trade? Are they more just relieved the Simmons drama is over?

do they think this was the move worth waiting for?

Simmons, 2 firsts, Curry is a lot for 32 year old Harden- but as has been said so many times---- You are not getting too many years like Embiid is having even if he is amazing the next 10 year- he has been MVP level.

I’m the exception not the rule. The Sixers have attracted a ton of casuals post Process. Most are very happy. You have to think we were looking at ho hum another 2nd round ish exit and wasting a year of Embiid to now being legitimately in the mix. Listening to talk radio, social media etc… there is like a 1:3 1:4 ratio of fans like me that see they made the competition better and in that process lost their best shooter on a team that needs shooters.

It’s a net win but if the Sixers are going to close it takes more than Embiid and Harden. They need Harris to continue to get his 20 on his 12-15 shots. They need Thybulle to earn his keep and knock down 35% of his threes with a willingness to shoot 5-6 a game. They need Isaiah Joe to take the loss of Curry to lock down a spot in the playoff rotation. They need Bassey to give them 8-12 strong minutes of rim running with Harden. They need Doc Rivers not to be a dumb fuck and play a playoff rotation of 10 with minutes of all 2nd unit on the floor at the end of the 3rd start of the 4th quarter.

As a sports fan, you want your team to go for it and they’ve done that. They’ve done better than I thought they would in dealing Simmons. I hoped for this but could have definitely seen it going another way with a just dump the distraction knee jerk. My biggest squabble is that Curry went instead of Danny Green. I think Morey blinked when he didn’t have to.

1) y’all should sent joe and bassey for Schroeder…but I’m biased lol

2) I think Morey knew he was dead to rights on tampering

Schroeder has zero role on a team that needs shooting and already has James Harden and Tyrese Maxey. Schroeder would rebound with the assistant coaches at shoot around for this team.

The biggest tampering came from the best Sixer since Allen Iverson - Kyrie Irving.
Kyrie blew up the Celtics when they were ascending toward being a top squad and then Kyrie chases Harden out of town because he’s a bitch. Kyrie has been low key the best thing to happen to the Sixers in quite some time.

maybe now that he actually has to play lol.

every time he has an easy shot he better take it or he is gonna get crushed! lol.
I asked this earlier. If they face Philly in the playoffs, does he have the balls to play there?

Kyrie leaving cost the Celtics at least one title: the bubble

I’m gonna be away with seniors from my school where I teach on a retreat for 4 days when the Sixers host the Nets on 3/10. Haha all the Fucking luck.

There’s no guarantee he’ll be totally mentally ready by then.

He needs to have extraordinary balls to overcome what’s coming his way. I haven’t seen anything like the hatred for this guy. This is like JD Drew times 10 and JD Drew had batteries thrown at him in left field. Ben Simmons better walk in that building rolling deep. He will absolutely need a police escort.
