Like any GM he basically gave nothing to go off of with his intentions... Gave everyone credit thought. He did elude to the thing I have been saying about ILB's this offseason. What do you do? You have two good free agents, you have two good young ILB's and you have a pretty good draft of ILB's. A good situation I suppose. Really probably comes down to money in the end but I don't see how you can let both Jewell and Johnson walk, although if we somehow do manage to let that happen we also have good options so I don't think it is something we should overeally stress about. I mean internally we have good options under contract.

If we trade for Rodgers he will take a bit of money. We will see how much if/when it happens.

Apparently Shane Ray worked out for the chiefs.

Do you like any of these guys, DB… I mean DC?

Big no on Mike Hughes. Minnesota basically gave the first rounder away to KC because he had busted, has a history of neck injuries and while he played a little better at times this season he was a weak link for the Chiefs late in the season... Never played well when they needed him the most against high scoring offenses. You put him out there was the Giants and the Commanders, sure he can do ok.

Desmond King is a player I wanted last year in free agency. Good slot corner who has great ball skills and always around the ball. Not the fastest CB but quick and high football IQ... Won the Thorpe at Iowa was good for the Chargers. He can also return punts but I think his days of doing that in the NFL are probably mostly over.

Chandon Sullivan is probably the CB I most expect us to sign with the ties he has to the Green Bay staff obviously. He is ok, not a guy you will see me get too excited if we sign but sort of what I expect. He is probably more of a #4 CB to me though.

I would rate them

King
Sullivan
Hughes

In terms of signing I would probably expect
Sullivan
King
Hughes

Remember- The Vikings drafted Mike Hughes. Which this could go 1 of two ways..... Paton and company could still be high on him or at least semi high enough on him to give him a depth role here... Paton drafted Hughes and then when Paton left he was traded... Or Paton could have that thought of "You let me down, I am staying far away"
